Aside from not looking foolish, one of my other main goals for my Jeopardy! career was to wear something @jeopardybutmakeitfashion would approve of. I hope you like it! Ken liked it so much he said, “Great shirt!” when he came over for this picture, so that feels like a win. by @the_commodoress

I am so excited for this conference--the Prize Papers are an absolutely staggering collection of primary sources that relate not just to naval or maritime history, but to commerce, politics, diplomacy, and even family life.

This was in my mailbox this morning and I read the whole thing. First of all, more people should write short books. Secondly, more people (ahem me) should write books about ridiculous stories from working-class people. Spoiler: a house painter/highwayman tried to burn down several British dockyards, but it turns out when the Royal Navy thinks you done them wrong, they’ll find you. by @the_commodoress

I was supposed to be doing other things this afternoon, but instead I spent the whole afternoon trying to diagram how very unlucky Gregory Cozzens was. I found his story of a crew uprising on the George in the @prize_papers , but that was just the tip of the iceberg, it turns out. #Rev250 by @the_commodoress
