Synchronicities, I see them everywhere lately. Found these two rocks about 10 yards apart last summer on a secluded beach in Maine. I imagine they came from the same rock formation, split up by time and rolled in the tide line for years until they gradually drifted apart. How many years? Who knows. The time they'll spend in my hands will only be a blip on their timeline of millions of years.

This summer I collected very little while I was in Maine. I focused more on looking and making mental notes. Here is what I've brought back to reflect on in the studio for the year. taken in ARTS Southeast by @the_continental_self

Hello, it's me again. Discovering new formations in the wild. Trading in the most brutal heat of the southeast for the soft warmth of the Maine coast in the last breath of summer. taken in Lanes Island Preserve by @the_continental_self

Ok so it isn't a rock this time, but this cat in my neighborhood totally reminded me of the Unicorn Tapestries @metmuseum taken in Thunderbolt, Georgia by @the_continental_self

I heard a voice calling out to me to be careful where I step. I nearly crushed her after looking away from my path for just a moment to catch one last glimpse of the setting sun. I picked her up and placed her in my pocket among a group of dancing coral pieces. I made them a little scene so they could put on a play. taken in Thunderbolt, Georgia by @the_continental_self

Choosing a favorite is impossible. Choosing the next stone to feature has me hesitating. How do I choose? When the idea comes to me. There is so much to say and so much to think about and reflect on. by @the_continental_self
