FLIGHT OF PASSAGE... COMPLETED IT MATE ✅🥺🥳🙌🏻
.
So for anyone who doesn’t know, on our Disneyworld honeymoon trip I tried to ride Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom, but I was too large to fit the seat and I couldn’t ride. It was really disappointing and a bit upsetting and ever since I’ve had this pang of upset that there was something at Disneyworld that my weight wouldn’t allow me to do.
.
So three years later, having lost 60lbs I was eager (but very nervous) to try - the line was pretty long and I didn’t want to waste our precious time if I couldn’t actually ride again... However, I took my chance (after trying the seat outside and the cast member telling me he was pretty sure I’d be fine) and after the most nerve wracking queue line... I DID IT!
.
Feeling very proud of myself. This is pretty mind blowing and a great (wildly fun) indicator of how far I’ve come.

It happened. We’re in love 🩵

It’s been five months since we lost Chip and throughout these months we’ve been exploring all of our options from adopting to finding a puppy with a good breeder. It’s not been as simple as we thought with having young children in our family (some very nervous) and being in the life stage of ttc we were told the timing was not currently right by our local dog shelters. It was also Barneys biggest wish to have a puppy and after the absolute heartache of telling him we were no longer pregnant and the news of Chips death this little puppy felt like the silver lining we all needed as a family ✨

P.S. if you’re not drinking Fanta Lemon are you even on holiday?

Also, I don’t know why @sophiebellebrown and I say *EVERY* time that we need to take more photos together yet consistently fail to do so. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ by @the_dave_monster

In amongst all the turbulence and difficulty of the last few months, there has been a life changing moment for me. It’s only taken me 22 years but I FINALLY PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!

It’s given me an amazing sense of freedom and purpose, particularly during these difficult months as it has meant I’ve been able to support Soph and take as much off of her plate as possible when it came to driving to appointments, picking up medications and generally being able to show up as the husband and dad I want to be in a way I was never able to before.

Weirdly I found that the longer time went on, even though technically I ‘knew how to drive’ as I had many lessons with several teachers, my anxiety around driving got worse (I used to dread lessons, and hope it was icy or for any excuse so they would be cancelled 🫣) Thankfully I found an amazing instructor who made everything fun and took the pressure off, so I was, eventually, able to pass first time - and now I LOVE driving!

So if you’re reading this, thinking that there’s something in life you want to do but that too much time has passed, or it’s too late for you, it’s not. You can do it. I BELIEVE IN YOU! …and I’d argue that once you do it, it’ll be even sweeter *because* of the journey it took to get there! by @the_dave_monster
