Variegated spiral ginger. This plant has such a fun growth pattern. Its spirals have gotten wider and more white as it matures.

I bought this plant as a small cutting nearly a year ago. It was a pain in the beginning because it dropped all its leaves and tried to rot a couple times. It finally established a healthy root system after a few months and has been growing fast ever since. Now it has become one of my easier to care for terrarium plants. If I've learned anything in this hobby, it's patience.

Finally this Begonia brevirimosa red form is growing well outside my terrarium. When I first took it out, it died back to a stump. After a few weeks it regrew all its leaves. I just make sure to keep it next to my humidifier and not let it dry out all the way.

The magic of a Scindapsus ‘White Monster’ 🤍
It took awhile to get to this size because of all the white variegation but it was worth the wait.

Spooky plants! Here are a couple of my favorite plants for this time of year. The first is begonia brevirimosa 'red form' and the second is begonia breakdance. These are cuttings from my mother plants. I let my mother plants dry out too much and are looking sad so I'll showcase these instead 😁🎃👻

Aristolochia leuconeura. This vining plant is supposed to climb up to around 12 ft, so far it has climbed 6 ft. I keep having to add on to the trellis I made out of bamboo stakes but soon I think I'll something more sturdy.

Tradescantia quadricolor grows like a weed. Unfortunately I can only get these colors when it's under a grow light. If it isn't, it grows a bit gangly and its colors aren't as vivid.

Cane begonias can be heavy feeders especially when blooming.

This pink minx begonia was looking pretty sad a couple months ago. So I decided to add a slow release fertilizer (osmocote plus) and started to use an organic fertilizer at 1/4 strength every watering (Grow More Sea Grow). After a week or so it started to grow leaves all over the bare stems.

I'm so happy because I was about to chop it back, now I can keep it's length and have a fuller looking plant.

Swipe to see more tricolor lipstick plant blooms.

Is it just me or are the two middle blooms giving a funky smile?! 😁 Closeup in the second pic.

This is one of my favorite and easiest trailing plants. It blooms nearly all year and doesn't require high humidity.

My Darkest Leaves...

Leea amabilis
Leea zippeliana
Pterisanthes sp.

Updates on some of my dark beauties...

My Leea amabilis mother plant started to have more pronounced white veins on one of its branches so I decided to clip off a tip to see if it would persist. Only time will tell.

My Leea zippeliana continues to be a pain. It's so hard for me to grow. It doesn't like being repotted, it withers away to a stump.

The Pterisanthes sp. is one of my easiest terrarium plants and hasn't given me any issues.

My out of control Dioscorea Discolor. She woke up this spring and started to grow rapidly. She wrapped herself around a few of my other plants and started to climb up the shelf. She had to be stopped, so I'm buying a trellis that she can have all for herself.

Each under $10. I wanted a cute way to display some of my smaller plants. I found these while looking on Amazon and I had to have them because I am a child at heart! 😁👶💚 I currently have lightly rooted tradescantia cuttings in them. They all hold about the same amount of soil as a regular 2 inch pot.
