WE’RE MOVING TO SAN DIEGO!!

After three of the most transformative years of our lives, we’re leaving France for San Diego in seven weeks.

This is bittersweet for us, and we know it might be for some of you too. France held us through one of the most important seasons of our lives. It taught us how to slow down, how to actually live, how to find each other and ourselves again.

But the next chapter is calling. Our new company, @elstori.co, is ready to grow, and we need to be where it can scale. We have visited San Diego more times than we can count in the last five years, and we know this is where our family will thrive with sun, sea, space to build, and a community we already love.

Here’s the thing: this account, this podcast, our Away We Go We Go project…it’s always been about chasing adventure and the truth that people can do hard things. Dismantling our lives in Austin and moving across an ocean with twins at 10 months old was a hard thing. Building a company while raising a family is a hard thing. Tearing up the life we built here and starting over in a new state is a hard thing, but we are doing it anyway.

So we’re not slowing down. We’re going. Again.

The podcast continues. The account continues. The Eptons’ story continues, just with a new horizon. We can’t wait for you to watch us rebuild our lives in California, build a new company, and keep proving that life is an adventure and you are capable of so much more than you know.

We are so excited to have you come with us for this new and exciting chapter! Let’s go! by @the_eptons

It’s been a whirlwind 12 days of planes, trains, busses and voitures 🚗 , but our little family made the trek from Aix to London and finally settling in to our new home in San Diego, CA.

It’s been a wild ride to say the least moving in France’s worst heatwave on record with twin toddlers, our cat Ziggy and our entire lives packed into 16 bags, but the kids were absolute troopers and we have many stories from this big adventure across the pond (and stay tuned for the podcast coming out today!)

It’s been a week since we landed in California, and we are settling in really nicely as we gear up for the launch of the @elstori.co app this month. Farmer’s markets, more TACOS than we know what to do with, and the kids have officially becoming beach babies, requesting to go every day (and we are happily obliging!)

So much more to share, but excited to give you a little update for now 🩷. taken in Around the world by @the_eptons

One last beautiful trip before we officially say “Au revoir” to France…

Last weekend for my birthday, we drove to the French Riviera, passing through St. Tropez, Èze and Menton. The kind of places that make you stop mid-sentence because you can’t find words that are big enough to describe the beauty you are seeing.

We ate fresh pizza just steps from the Italian border, ordered gelato we didn’t need, and sat watching the Mediterranean in all of its magic, where the light hits the water and it glitters like it knows it’s being watched.

It was the first real trip we’ve taken for just the two of us in over a year. Without an agenda, without work; just us, the most beautiful coastline and the slow, quiet realization of everything we’ve lived through to get here over the last three years.

One month from today, we leave France. I keep thinking about all the versions of us that walked these streets over the last three years. The ones who arrived looking for a slower pace. The ones who found ourselves again and rebuilt it. The ones sitting here now: grateful, ready, bittersweet about leaving, and so wildly excited about what comes next.

France gave us so much. She’ll always have a piece of our hearts. But the next chapter is calling, and we are so ready for you (and California!) taken in French Riviera by @the_eptons

It’s the end of an era living in France. It’s been beautiful, intoxicating, and at times extremely overwhelming and hard.

Last week I spent 48 hours in Paris with my Mom for a trip to celebrate my Aunt’s 70th birthday, and it was incredible. We walked through the Parisian streets, bought pastel scarves, clinked glasses of champagne, and ended the trip with an unforgettable meal on top of the Eiffel Tower. To say I feel grateful is the understatement of the year.

I told my Mom yesterday that I’m in that bittersweet phase where my mind already feels like it’s in California, but I’m feeling a pang of nostalgia for every memory and experience I hold here. This place stripped me down, built me back up and shaped the next version of me.

I will be forever grateful to you, France 🇫🇷. by @the_eptons

To so many of our wonderful followers, you know Jordan and I as an American couple who packed up our belongings and moved to France with our 10 month old twins. Three years, one podcast and so many amazing stories and adventures. But what most of you don’t know is that I was secretly battling something big...

3.5 years ago when the twins were born, our son Luca was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. Right after birth, he went into open heart surgery at nine days old, and spent 41 days in the NICU.

The whole time, I held it together. I had a newborn daughter at home. I ran between the hospital and home, taking care of everyone.

When we finally brought him home and we could finally begin our move to France, I thought the hard part was over, but the hard part had just begun.

What followed was two years of postpartum depression so deep I genuinely didn’t know if I’d come back from it. I’ve never really said it out loud. Not here. Not on our podcast. Not even to most of the people closest to me.

It took me a long time to crawl out of it, but when I did, I realized just how broken and fragmented the support is for new moms. I knew at that moment I never wanted another mother to go through this time in her life without the resources and support she really needs. So I built what I needed and couldn’t find.

Today, everything changes.

I’m launching Elstori — the postpartum app that’s finally putting mothers first.

Born from my own experience and real conversations with mothers and postpartum specialists AND launching with a postpartum advisory board. This is not just an app, but a community and movement we are building- and we are planning to make many changes for women and mothers over the next decade.

If you are a follower and this resonates with you, we would love your support:

-Follow @elstori.co

- Share this with a mom who needs to know she’s not alone

- Join the waitlist at elstori.com

And if you want the full story, the depths, the build, what’s next for our family — tune into tomorrow’s episode of Away We Go. We’re going all in. 🤍

In this episode of Away We Go We Go, we sit down with Amanda, the founder of the Solo Female Traveler Network, a global community of more than 600,000 women who are redefining what it means to travel—and live—independently. Amanda shares the powerful story behind how the network began, starting with her own years of solo travel and a difficult experience that inspired her to create a space where women could support, inspire, and look out for each other while exploring the world. What began as a simple Facebook group has grown into a massive community that empowers women to say yes to adventure and step outside their comfort zones.

We also dive into Amanda’s TEDx talk and the concept of “shared firsts”—the idea that doing something new alongside others can create deep, meaningful connections almost instantly. From traveling to new places to trying new experiences at home, Amanda explains how these shared moments build trust, strengthen friendships, and help women feel more confident taking risks. It’s a fascinating conversation about the psychology of connection and why stepping into the unknown with others can be so transformative.
This episode is a reminder that adventure doesn’t always require a plane ticket—it starts with the courage to try something new. Whether you’re dreaming about solo travel, looking to build deeper friendships, or simply hoping to push past your comfort zone, Amanda’s story offers both inspiration and practical insight into how powerful community, curiosity, and shared experiences can truly be. taken in Around The World by @the_eptons
