Sometimes, one conversation, one perspective or one push is all it takes to make something you’ve been carrying feel possible.

For Mrs Gladmore Mapedza-Ofori, her first Exec Branch experience was exactly that.

From meeting like-minded black women doing incredible things to hearing a speaker say something she knew she needed to hear, she left feeling inspired and ready to make things real.

Most importantly, she made a promise to herself: to return the following year and share what she had birthed from the experience.

That is what we want Exec Branch to be. Not just a day of motivation, but a catalyst for clearer thinking, bigger action and meaningful progression.

Thank you, Mrs Mapedza-Ofori, for sharing your experience. We can’t wait to see what comes next. 🤎 by @the_execbranch

This is the room we have been building.

On 19 September, ambitious professional women will gather for The Legacy Conference: a day designed to strengthen how we lead, build, protect and pass on what matters.

Across one powerful day, you can expect:

• Honest and practical conversations led by women with lived experience
• Insight across career, business, leadership, wealth, wellbeing and legacy
• The Business Clinic in partnership with Tide
• Meaningful connections with women building in different spaces
• A curated marketplace, networking lunch and space to think beyond the next achievement
• Practical tools and experiences designed to move you from reflection into action

This is not simply a day of listening, it’s a room in which you can ask better questions, make meaningful connections and consider what you are building that can outlive you.

Your next stage of growth can begin before your business is ready to launch.

While you’re waiting for the opportunity, the launch, the breakthrough or the next big thing, there is still work to be done - on yourself.

Invest in your knowledge. Build your skills. Strengthen your confidence. Prepare for the doors you’re working towards opening.

As @codiliagapare shared at LEGACY, “Grow while you wait.”

Because when the opportunity finally comes, you want to be ready for it. by @the_execbranch

We can get further together - that's the power of connection.

There is power in connecting with women who understand the journey, who challenge your perspective, share what they’ve learned and help you see possibilities you couldn’t see on your own.

Someone in the room may have already walked the path you’re trying to navigate. Their experience could give you the clarity, confidence or direction you need to take your next step.

And somewhere in that same room, there may be a woman walking a path you’ve already travelled. What you’ve learned, overcome or built could be exactly what she needs to hear.

At EB, we don’t just meet to exchange names or business cards. We connect to learn, to partner, to share opportunities and to grow together.

Sometimes, your next breakthrough begins with a conversation and sometimes, you become part of someone else’s. 🤎

Who are you when the title changes?

When you’re no longer defined by your business, your career, your marriage or even motherhood - who are you?

At EB: LEGACY, Pastor Concelia Matika challenged us to think beyond the roles we carry and ask a deeper question: what truly anchors you?

What are your values?
What is your purpose?
What sustains you when life doesn’t go according to plan?

Because your purpose is bigger than what you do.

@conceliam brought a powerful reminder to the room: knowing who you are is just as important as knowing what you’re building.

And perhaps that is a question worth taking home with you. by @the_execbranch

Thank you for the work before the doors opened, the attention to detail and for helping us create a room worthy of the day.

The women who carried the room.

@thekellykuziva and @rumbidzai.mutopo brought warmth, energy and presence to LEGACY, keeping us moving while making the room feel completely at home.

Two generations. Two brilliant women. One stage.

@yourevent_stylist gets the vision and every single year, she has translated that into beautiful decor.

From the ideas and voice notes to seeing the room come together, Primrose has continued to help us create spaces that feel like The Exec Branch.

Thank you @yourevent_stylist for your creativity, patience and for caring about the details that make the experience feel special.

There are always people behind the pictures.

People whose contribution you could never fully capture in a post.

The phone calls. The introductions. The sponsorship conversations. The WhatsApps at ridiculous hours. The problem solving. The people who stepped in without being asked. The people who opened doors, moved things around, made calls and simply said, “What do you need?”

Some of the biggest contributions to LEGACY happened long before anyone walked into the room.

And many of them happened quietly.

This post is for those people.

To our team, our volunteers and every single person who gave their time, their relationships, their expertise, their hands and sometimes simply their encouragement to make this day happen: thank you.

Building something like The Exec Branch has never been a one-woman job.

There are people who believe in this vision enough to carry parts of it with us, often without applause and sometimes without anyone knowing what they did.

We know. We see you. And we are incredibly grateful ❤️
