🤷‍♀️ RUN CLUB? Ours does.

The FINISHR has been here way longer than we have.

It’s free, open to anyone, regardless if you train with us here at Life Hub or not, and there’s zero gatekeeping.

Just good people, good vibes & a few KMs.

Wednesdays 6am @ Landy Field 😏

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US (YOU) 🙌🏼

7 years of this run club surrounded by so many amazing faces who have shaped who and what we are.

No pun intended, but it’s been a game of endurance🤭

We started in 2019, a Sunday run up hills the surf coast.

Navigated 2020 lock downs and somehow still had the run club community growing bigger and bigger everytime we were able to link up again.

We added in track Wednesday.

We ran when it was wet, windy and kind of a little bit aweful.

We ran when there was 10 of you, we ran when there was 200 of you.

We’ve likely met well over 1000 of you, whether you’ve come once or weekly. We remember.

We’ve made lasting friendships, besties (and some of you even met your partners 🥰👀)

We raced with you, watched you reach your goals.

We were there on your first 5k.

We did 10ks, 21ks, marathons, and ultras together.

We’ve come together for a good cause (Movember, Fight MND, bushfires, and many more)

There’s so many more things we’ve done together (not in a weird way, but a reasonable way)
And there will be many more.

We have loved showing up each week for you all and will continue to bring the whistle, run fast, run slow, have fun & drink coffee with you all.

This week we celebrate.

We won’t be on the tunes this week, @redbullau will 🤭

SO WILL WE SEE YOU THERE THIS WEEK TO CELEBRATE? 🙌🏼

xoxo Breeza & Gabe

7 years of FINISHR.

If we’re being honest… we were scared to start.
And some days, we still are.
Scared no one would show up.
Scared it wouldn’t land.
Scared we weren’t enough to build what we believed this could become.
But you showed up.
Again and again.
And over time, this became so much more than just a run club.
It became a space where people feel safe.
Where everyone is welcome.
Where you can show up exactly as you are and know that’s enough.
That’s what we’ve always stood for.
Providing a safe, inclusive, supportive environment where people can grow, connect, and thrive… together.

To every single person who has laced up, walked, run, cheered, or simply been part of this- thank you.
To those who believed in us before it was anything… thank you.
To those who continue to show up each week - you are the reason this exists.

This isn’t ours.
It never was.

It’s all of ours.

The Balanced Runner 🤝 Life Hub 🤝 FINISHR

Learning from the best in the industry this morning with Paul Mackinnon @thebalancedrunner putting usually over complicated skills into easy to to understand and practically use tips for running.

Credit to everyone who joined us this morning to soak up the knowledge (and vibes) and shout out to this community for being so engaged and curious throughout the workshop.

Being able to share industry leading experts like Paul with our community (and beyond) is something we’re really proud of too, so thank you all!

Can’t wait to see you all out one the FINISHR track looking a little less baby giraffe-esq 🤭

We love running,
We do running,
But the FINISHR was never really about the running by @the_finishr

THE BALANCED RUNNER X GEELONG

Meet Paul MacKinnon @thebalancedrunner
He’s coached elite runners at the top of their game and splits his time between here and Portland, Oregon, working with Nike’s athletes.

We’ve teamed up with @the_finishr to get the word out, because good coaching should reach as many runners as possible.

Sooo what is it?

No, it’s not a run club.
You won’t be clocking up kms.
We’ll jog to an open area, then Paul will run you through self awareness and technique.
Think workshop, not workout.

THE DETAILS
Sunday 4th October
8:30am - 10am (90 minutes)
Meet at Life Hub Geelong, Belmont
FREE
Open to everyone, members and non-members welcome!

Come learn from someone who does this at the highest level.

LETS FREAKIIIIN GOOOO 🕺🪩🏃‍♀️ by @the_finishr

TOMORROW WE ARE ON!

Celebrating Global Run Day because it’s a Wednesday and we hit the track on Wednesdays.

The FINISHR run club was never really about the running, little do you know we really couldn’t give a slap about how fast or slow you’re going (also because it’s pretty dark out there we actually can’t tell)

It’s about the people.
It’s about coming together at the start, doing some movement & then connecting at the end.

So many people who ran with us in the early days are still running with us now.
You know you you are, yeh we see you 🥰

The FINISHR was built on so much more than running and that’s why we continue to do this week on week out.

So join us tomorrow morning at the track.

Whether it’s your first time or 628th time.
