The @friendsofcodeysnola Krewe of Codey’s: A Giving Experience was more than a fundraiser. It was proof of what happens when vision, community, and commitment align. On February 5, we hosted our first board-led fundraising event; and not only did we hit our fundraising goal, we expanded visibility, deepened engagement, and welcomed new supporters into the Friends of Codey’s mission. That matters. I am incredibly proud of the food entrepreneurs who showed up, showed out, and continue to call the FOC kitchen home. Your talent, resilience, and dedication are the heartbeat of this work. I’m equally honored to serve alongside some truly phenomenal board members. The time, care, strategy, and heart that goes into this work doesn’t always get seen, but it’s real. I’m grateful to serve on the Board of Directors and as Marketing Chair, contributing to the strategy and stewardship that make moments like this possible. Wow! Thank you so much to all of the men and women who honored their commitment to show up for our kids. Dec. 5th the One Unified Resource Foundation, Inc. @theourfoundation hosted our 4th annual Dec the Halls volunteer day at Wilkinson Middle School in Mesquite, TX. With over 45 volunteers (not all pictured) we were able to serve and pour into 420 students. Thank you @torryabra and @cutexas for providing pizza and Latame Phillips, Ph.D. and @hungerbustersofdallas for the desserts. Thank you to @msjasmine2u and @sephora for sponsoring 200+ makeup gifts for our girls and my mom for the mirrors. Big thank you to @christopherplumlee and BBB for continuing this tradition with us for the last 4 years.
