🎃 Best. Holiday. EVER. 👻🧡 Happy Halloween week from The Goin Guide! 🧙🏻‍♀️✨ A little trip down memory lane, featuring YEARS of family Halloween costumes and my family’s unwavering (if occasionally eye-rolling 🙄🤣) commitment to my group costume themes. 😂 I hope I’ve instilled in them a lifelong love of whimsy, creativity, and the notion that you’re never too old to dress up! 🎭🕸️ Life is way more fun when you embrace a bit of silliness! 🧡🎃 WITCH is your favorite?! 🧹👇🏻👻 #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #halloweenfamily #groupcostumes by @the_goin_guide
October Magic in Boston! 🪄🍁 I couldn’t get enough of the beautiful facades on these stunning homes surrounding Boston Common! ✨ This is a lovely area of the city to explore and so close to the very lively Newbury Street district. We loved it! 🤎🧡 #thegoinguide #bostoncommon #falldecorinspo #emptynesters #octobermagic by @the_goin_guide
On the hottest day EVER recorded in Miami’s history 🥵☀️, we decided to explore the beautiful Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden! 🌴🌺 I love the role Fairchild plays in conservation, education, and inspiring plant lovers of all ages. 🌱💚 Some of our highlights: 🦋 Wings of the Tropics butterfly exhibit 🌧️ An actual rainforest right on the grounds 🌵 The fascinating Spiny Forest of Madagascar My advice? Visit early in the day—and perhaps choose a slightly cooler day than we did! 🫠🥵 But even in the heat, Fairchild felt like a beautiful oasis and a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Miami. 🪷✨ Definitely worth a visit! @fairchildgarden PS We loved the unexpected Chihulys! ✨ #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #miamiheat #myfairchild by @the_goin_guide
A perfect NYC Saturday! Working our way through the summer bucket list. 🪣📋 First, a visit to the very creative @stoopandthecity on the Upper East Side, followed by an obligatory @brandymelvilleusa stop, dinner at @lavenueatsaks and finally we got to enjoy the penultimate performance of Les Mis at @radiocitymusichall ! It was FABULOUS! 💫🎶 PS She made me ride the subway. 😫🥵 #motherdaughtertime #staycationnyc #lesmis #radiocity #thegoinguide by @the_goin_guide

Come with me to Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard! 🐳🛥️ Home to the picturesque National Historic Landmark District of Wesleyan Grove, one can spend days here wandering the streets, admiring the tiny, colorful gingerbread cottages 🏡🌸🌼 and strolling through the charming downtown village. The bustling harbor (and a stop at Donovan’s Harbor Bar at Nancy’s! 🍹⚓️) is not to be missed either. ✔️ A beautiful day all around… despite the bumpy ride over! 🌊😅☀️ #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #smallcontentcreator #oakbluffsmarthasvineyard #friendswithboats by @the_goin_guide
Come with me to Saratoga Springs! ✨ Known for: • 💧 Naturally carbonated mineral springs • 🐎 One of the oldest horse racing tracks in the country • 🎭 The renowned Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) • 🌳 The beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park • 🛍️ A charming, walkable downtown filled with boutiques and great restaurants Spend the weekend hiking, soaking in the mineral baths, catching a world-class performance, cheering on the horses, and enjoying a fantastic food scene. 👍 Saratoga Springs is one of our favorite summer getaways—and we think you’ll fall in love with it too! 💚 📍Save this for your next weekend escape! #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #saratogasprings #getawayweekend by @the_goin_guide
Come with me to an Ayurveda cooking class! 🌿✨ Ayurveda—“the science of life”—is an ancient system of preventative medicine, not a passing wellness trend! In this workshop, we explored what simple Ayurvedic eating looks like as a lifestyle practice that works in rhythm with nature. 🌸 Food becomes medicine through seasonal produce, herbs, and spices that help support digestion, mood, immunity, and energy. A summer Ayurvedic kitchen is filled with fresh herbs like mint, basil, cilantro, and parsley; grounding spices such as cardamom; leafy greens, beets, berries, coconut, stone fruits, and nourishing grains like barley. 🌾 We only scratched the surface, but there’s something special about preparing and sharing a meal with intention—it truly makes everything taste better. A heartfelt thank you to @ritab_murti and @onthelinewithangie for sharing your wisdom and inspiring us to become more mindful cooks. 💚 P.S. No phones at an Ayurvedic table… but trust me, we ate every last bite! 😋 #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #ayurvedalifestyle #womeninbusiness by @the_goin_guide
Red, White and Blue in the Green Mountain State! 🇺🇸💚 Sugarbush Resort in Warren, VT is a magical place to visit in the summer. ✨ Hike a ski trail, check out the most creative parade, sip on a Heady Topper and take in the most spectacular mountain views! ⛰️ If the weather cooperates, take a refreshing dip in nearby Mad River or Blueberry Lake. 💦 Food is fresh and local and our favorite dish is the Misty Knoll Chicken Statler at Hydeaway. 😋 Don’t skip dessert! Maple Ice Cream from Canteen Creemee is divine. 🍦 Summer is simply the best up here, just look out for the bears! 🐻 Happy 250th Birthday, America! ♥️🇺🇸 @sugarbush_vt @hydeawayinn #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #warren4thofjuly #greenmountainstate by @the_goin_guide
Learning Mahjong isn’t easy… unless you have a fabulous teacher! 👩🏻‍🏫 The Tile Hi Club checks all the boxes: four two-hour lessons, small group instruction, colorful handouts, all equipment provided, and even cute little prizes along the way. 😄 Most importantly, it’s fun! Mahjong is an incredible brain booster that challenges your memory, strategy, and pattern recognition skills - my favorite part! 🌟 And then there’s the camaraderie! Learning alongside other players makes the experience even more enjoyable. 💞 The Tile Hi Club makes learning Mahjong feel fun, approachable, and surprisingly addictive! 🀄️✈️✨ Link for Michelle’s Mahj recs in my bio! 🥳 #thegoinguide #emptynesterlife #womenover50 #mahjong🀄️ #womenownedsmallbusiness by @the_goin_guide
