I might lose people again today. Honestly? I don’t care by now. Some things are too heavy to keep bottled up, and staying quiet is a luxury I’m officially checking at the door. Growing up after being born in🇩🇪on a🇺🇸base, my world was shaped by the rigid lines of a decently republican veteran✝️Gen X father who always seemed to question or clash with my own political beliefs. Because of that trauma, I’ve spent a long time staying “out of politics.” I saw the flaws on all sides and decided that what mattered most wasn’t a “party line”, but how we show up for each other as humans. But here’s the thing: Neutrality is a trap when human rights are on the line. I am a 3rd gen AFAB PoC (🇵🇭🇨🇳Hapa). I am a Military brat with immigrant/adopted BIPOC family, I am 𐕣𖤐𐕣,⺎,a🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️♋️,a SA/abuse survivor, Enby/ND and disabled. My very existence is “political” to some people, but it’s just my life to me. I was raised on the amazing stories of things like SW, the hunger games and Marvel—the only media that felt real enough to teach me the difference between right and wrong when the real world felt upside down. Those stories didn’t teach us to sit in the corner and hope the Empire ignores us. They taught us that: No one deserves to be cancelled, blocked, unfollowed and or ☠️/anything else of the sorts for who they are and or what they believe in the end. Fascism isn’t a “difference of opinion”—it’s a threat and history repeating itself at this point. Silence in the face of today’s violation is just compliance with a different name at this point. If you’re uncomfortable right now, if you want to just ignore reality and stay tucked away in your personal content and comfort corners because reality is too loud, I get it.I’ve been there. That’s your journey at this point and that’s fine. But don’t expect me to dim my light so you can sleep or feel better now. I’m taking the advice of the heroes I grew up with. I’m standing my ground. If you can’t handle me speaking up for others, my community and my humanity, then we simply are not the same. I won’t be silenced, and I ultimately won’t be censored by those who refuse to listen. I’m scared for Link in the future wtf are these contacts 🤧 between the wig and these Idk wtf he’s always trying to wash tf out of my face it seems (DEFINITELY considering darker blue contacts (costume like or realistic idk yet tbh lol) and more dirty-ash blonde hair in the future ngl)(depending on the version of course because sometimes it doe actually work ngl lol)(or at least the yellow hair does because again wtf are those contacts lol even the cartoon versions seem to have darker eyes ngl)
