Happy World Food Day!

Today is a day to celebrate food, reflect on food security, and remember that while many of us have eaten today (some of us are even thinking about our next meal 😂), there are children and families in our communities who cannot say the same.

This is why The Project 20 Initiative exists. Our mission is to end world hunger, one child at a time, and our work aligns with SDG 2: Zero Hunger.

You want to make an impact in your immediate community? Today is a good day to start.

Your ₦500, ₦5,000, or even ₦5 million 😂 could help put food on a child's plate. Every contribution, no matter the amount, is a step in the right direction.

You can support us financially or in kind. A bag of rice, litres of cooking oil, foodstuffs, or any other food items you can give will go a long way in helping us reach vulnerable children and support their caregivers.

As we prepare for the 5th Edition of The Project 20 Care Fair on November 20, 2026, we're inviting you to be part of the impact.

Your little could mean everything to someone else.

📌 To donate:
Account Number: 0500674881
Bank : Guaranty Trust Bank
Account Name: Adedeji Temitope Dorcas

To support with food items or discuss other ways to contribute, kindly send us a DM at https://wa.me/2348166651301

Let's make this World Food Day count. Let's put food on more tables, bring smiles to more faces, and take one more step towards a world where no child goes hungry.

Four editions. Three cities. One mission.

From Ilorin in 2022 and 2023, to Ibadan in 2024, and Abuja in 2025.

The Project 20 Initiative has continued to take the fight against hunger and the message of care to new communities.

Now, Lagos is next!!!

Five years. Four cities. One mission: to end world hunger, one child at a time.

On 20 November 2026, we return for the 5th Edition of The Project 20 Initiative, marking World Children’s Day with street children and their caregivers in Lagos.

But this year, we’re not just showing up with a meal.

We’re bringing care.

From free feeding, medical tests, fun and meaningful moments, The Care Fair is designed to create a day where children and their caregivers can experience dignity, attention and genuine care.

This journey started with a simple question: what if we could do something about a child going to bed hungry?

Four editions later, we’re still answering that question, one community at a time.

Lagos, it’s your turn!!!

Join us as we make this one count.

World Humanitarian Day was 3 days ago, and it is an opportunity to reflect on what humanitarian action truly means: showing up for people, responding to needs, and creating pathways towards a healthier and more dignified life.

At Project 20 Initiative, we believe that no child should have to go to bed hungry.

Since 2022, Project 20 has taken food outreaches to communities across Ilorin, Ibadan and Abuja, providing meals and support to vulnerable and underserved children.

But our work goes beyond putting food on a plate. Hunger is a public health issue. Lack of access to adequate nutrition can affect a child's growth, development, education and long-term wellbeing.

This is why our mission, “End world hunger, one child at a time,” aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2): Zero Hunger a global commitment to ending hunger, achieving food security, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture.

Every meal served is a reminder that small acts of compassion can contribute to a much larger movement for change.

This World Humanitarian Day, we celebrate everyone working to build communities where no child is left behind because of hunger.

One child. One meal. One step closer to zero hunger.

Life has really been lifing lately.

There have been responsibilities to juggle, deadlines to meet, moments of exhaustion, and days where simply getting through felt like enough. But somewhere in the middle of all of that, I made a promise to myself: no matter how busy life gets, I won't stop putting myself out there.

So I kept applying. I kept showing up. I kept saying yes to opportunities, even when I wasn't sure what would come from them.

I have been selected as an International Organization of Youth (IOY) Ambassador for the 2026–2027 term.

This means a lot because it's another reminder that your current season doesn't have to stop your growth. You can be carrying responsibilities, figuring life out, and still make room for opportunities that align with your purpose.

I'm excited to learn, connect with inspiring young leaders across the world, and continue doing what I love, serving communities, empowering young people, and creating meaningful impact.

Here's to showing up, even when life is heavy. The work continues.

Thank you @iycforyouth for the opportunity

It's been a while since I last posted here.

Over the past few months, I've spent more time building, learning, serving, and reflecting than sharing online. But today felt like a good day to come back.

This photo is a throwback to the 4th edition of Project 20 one of those moments that reminds me why this journey started in the first place.

What began as a simple desire to make a difference has grown into something bigger than I ever imagined. From Ilorin to Ibadan to Abuja, we've had the privilege of reaching over a thousand children with support, hope, and a reminder that they matter.

Looking at this picture, I'm reminded that impact isn't always measured by numbers. Sometimes it's in a smile, a conversation, a shared meal, or a child who leaves knowing that someone believes in them.

As we prepare for the 5th edition of Project 20, my heart is filled with gratitude for every volunteer, supporter, partner, and child who has been part of this story.

We're just getting started.

One child at a time. One community at a time. One act of kindness at a time. ❤️

On today's episode of practicals I carried out, while learning catering is "Chicken Shawarma".

I decided to try making chicken shawarma and I quickly realized it wasn’t just “wrapping chicken in bread”.😂

Getting the chicken juicy, the spices balanced, and the flavor rich enough to stand out took more effort than I expected.

I learned that shawarma isn’t just about the wrap, it’s about the process, the patience, and the details in between.

The picture above bears witness🤭

I honestly thought doughnuts were as easy as buns, joke's on me😂

My shoulders definitely disagreed because doughnut just like bread, needs proper kneading to come out soft, light, and fluffy.

That day I learned there are different types of doughnuts : the round doughnuts, the ring doughnuts and the infused ones.

From this picture, I think we can all agree I tried 😌

This was one of my first real steps in my journey to becoming a baker in the previous year.

I guess, this is my way of welcoming you into the new year.

Ps : If you have an event coming up and you need doughnuts or any pastry, do well to slide into my already slippery DM.

2025 stretched me, but by God’s help, I’m standing at the finish line grateful, stronger, and still hopeful.

Thank You Lord for every lesson, every win, and every grace that carried me through.
