Lately, I’ve been realizing that some things I’m learning aren’t new at all.

I’m just learning to live them differently.

To trust God with what I cannot control.
To stop asking everyone to approve of me.
To sit with my own thoughts without rushing to fill the silence.
To let my relationship with God be mine — quiet, honest, and real.

Maybe growing up is partly this:

learning what is yours to carry,
what is yours to release,
and what is yours to simply let God handle.

Still learning.
Still unlearning.
Still becoming.

And honestly, I think that’s okay. 🤎

I laughed when I saw the post.

Then I sat with it.

Because, honestly, it wasn't really about someone else having the idea. It was about me realizing how often I can sit on something God has placed in my heart because I am busy wondering whether I'm ready, whether it's good enough, whether people will like it, whether the timing is right…

Meanwhile, someone else is simply doing the work. 😭

And it reminded me of something I don't want to forget:

There is a difference between waiting on God and waiting because you're afraid.

Pray, yes.
Seek wisdom, absolutely.
Ask God for direction, always.

But don't keep calling procrastination discernment.

Sometimes God has already said, go.

The rest of the clarity comes while you're walking.

So if there's something you've been carrying in your heart for months—an idea, a book, a business, an application, a community, a video, a dream…

maybe this is your reminder to stop waiting for perfect confidence.

Start.

Learn as you go.
Refine as you go.
Pray as you go.
Grow as you go.

But go.

Because the idea may have been given to you, but the assignment still requires your obedience.

And apparently, Heaven is not waiting for my perfectionism to finish its meeting. 😂

If this found you on a tired day, you don't have to pretend you're okay here.

Maybe you've been strong for too long.
Maybe your mind has been loud for too long.
Maybe you're exhausted from thinking, deciding, worrying, hoping, waiting, trying.

I pray that God meets you there.

Not just in the big things you are asking Him for, but in the quiet places nobody knows are hurting.

May strength return to your mind.
May peace return to your thoughts.
May hope return to your heart.

And may you remember that needing rest does not mean you've become weak.

Sometimes, it simply means you've carried enough for today. 🤍

Maybe we're so busy asking “What next?” that we haven't stopped to ask “What then?”

What happens after the degree, the money, the career, the wedding, the house, the recognition, the followers, the dream?

What happens when there is nothing left to prove?

I hope you have built a life you don't need an audience to enjoy.

I hope you've loved people well.

I hope you've stayed curious.

I hope you've laughed until your stomach hurt.

I hope you've sat quietly with God.

I hope you've made mistakes and survived them.

I hope you've remained kind.

I hope you've become someone you actually enjoy being.

Because one day, the curtains will close on the performance.

And when they do, I hope there is still a beautiful, colourful, deeply lived life waiting for you behind them.

Not just a life that looked good.
A life that felt like yours. 🤎

Lately, I’ve found myself embracing this side of me a little more — the free, curious, feeling, always-thinking part of me.

There are no limits to thinking, writing, imagining, or feeling.

And perhaps that is both the blessing and the burden of being a writer.

Some days, the words make you feel heavy. Other days, they make you feel lighter. You notice more. You feel deeply. You think about everything, sometimes a little too much. 🥹

But to my fellow writers: embrace the gift.

Let yourself feel.
Let yourself wonder.
Let yourself write.

Writing is beautiful.
Writing is a gift.
And oh, what a beautiful thing it is to have a world inside you that words can bring to life. 🤍
