🀍 Welcome Wallace 🀍 We met Wallace on Friday and have spent the weekend getting to know him. He is doing so well learning a new life at the age of 11 πŸ™Œ This is part of the first hour in our home. We have been told to be cautious with overcrowding him as he gets nervous, but so far, in just giving the space we give all animals here, he hasn't shown any signs of that 🀍 Because he was very much an unknown in those first few hours, this is Skylar's slow, guided introduction with him (*Disclaimer* If I'd felt like he needed more than space and options, I would have had him on a leash) Sometimes, the only thing we need is someone to try and understand what we're saying 🀍 We're listening, Wallace 🀍🀍 Welcome to the rest of your life 🀍🀍 Thank you for your patience and softness @skylars.pawfect.treats πŸ€πŸ™πŸ€ . . #fosterdog #fosterdogmum #rescuedogsofaustralia #werelistening #cavoodle by @the_manypaws
🀍 Fern 🀍 Fostering Meet and greets It's so hard. It's so hard to show someone who you are, when you're still learning who and how you are in a world that's only just starting to feel safe πŸ˜• I wish I were able to make a video, write an essay, tell the story of exactly who you are when you're with us, to show who you might be with someone else...but I can't. All I can do is tell them that you're so worth it 🀍 So special, and so hard to eventually say goodbye to 🀍🀍 And in doing that, I hope someone will be able to see who you might become, by their side 🀍🀍 . πŸ’š Fern πŸ’š Once again, feeling incredibly grateful to be able to offer a soft landing to a beautiful little pound puppy. 🀍 Thank you @villagetailsinc πŸ’šπŸ™ Fern has been with us for almost two weeks now, and she's doing so well. She's finding her confidence, showing us more of her personality every day, and has just the right mix of bravery, cheekiness and mischief! After a little rain the other night, Fern discovered the joy of splashing about in the paddling pool. Skylar promptly filled it up for her, and it became very clear that we had another water lover on our hands! So, naturally, a trip to the creek was in order. We took Benson, our biggest water baby, along for the adventure, and spent the afternoon watching them enjoy splashing, chasing, and having the best time! Here's a few of my favourite photos from a really lovely afternoon. πŸ’šπŸ’š Fern's beautiful tag is made by @zuritails.au . . #fosterdog #fosterdogmum #brisbanerescue waterbaby #rescuedogsrock by @the_manypaws
πŸ–€πŸ€ Benny at the Creek πŸ€πŸ–€ We took Fern (our current foster pup) to our local creek today after she had a ton of fun in the paddling pool yesterday. Benny showed her how to have the best time in the creek, even if it is a little scary the first time (he knows, he was very scared the first time we went!) Videos to follow, but oh my, Benny, you are a very handsome dog πŸ–€πŸ₯°πŸ€ We will always be so grateful to @pei_and_pals for trusting us to foster fail this gorgeous boy πŸ₯°πŸ™β€οΈ And thank you for his lovely tag, @zuritails.au πŸ’›πŸ™πŸ’› Use code MANYPAWS for 10% off 😊😊 . . #dogmum #dogdayout #notasmalllife #brisbanewalks #fosterfail by @the_manypaws

🩡 Japser Pupdate 🩡 Now and forever, he will exist in two families' hearts...and the part that makes fostering hard, is the part that makes it worth it! Friends, he has settled in SO well. He has a best buddy in Blue, and he has little and big people who absolutely ADORE him 🩡🩡 We knew he was special (ok, they ALL are, but he really is). He reminded me so much of my sweet Jessie who came to Australia with me. She was chaotic, she was scattered, she was so anxious...and she grew into the most wonderful little heart dog ❀️ And I know this to be true for Jasper too 🩡🩡 From thinking I might have to take him to the emergency vet on that first night because his breath and heart rates were so high because he was so panicked about what was going on, to feeling safe enough in the world that he slept peacefully through his first night with his new family and his new big brother (with new dog dad asleep on the sofa next to him πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ) Jasper's journey towards being a happy, secure, and regulated dog is well underway!!! Thank you to his lovely new family for taking a chance on a little rescue dog πŸ™ And thank you to Village Tails for again placing trust in our family to both be a soft landing, and also to use our best judgement for the right home 🩡🩡 We love you Jasper!! Have the very best life!!! (We know you will!) 🩡🩡🩡 . . #rescuepetmum #rescueupdate #poundpuppystories #rescuedogsofinstagram #fosterfamily by @the_manypaws

πŸ’œπŸ™πŸ’« Some loves don’t end when a life does πŸ’«πŸ™πŸ’œ Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day 🌈πŸͺ½ A day to remember the animals who've walked beside us, loved us, changed us, and become woven into who we are. I know only too well that losing them absolutely does not mean we stop loving them. Their absence can still be felt years later, just as deeply as their love can still be felt too. So today, during my own Reiki practice, I’ll be holding a little extra space for the animals who are no longer here in physical form. ✨ If there’s an animal you’d like me to include, send me their name in a message. You’re also very welcome to send me a photo of them, if that feels right. No booking. No payment. Nothing needed in return. Just their name, and a little moment of love and remembrance. πŸ’œπŸŒˆπŸ’«πŸͺ½ For all our stardust friends...the pawprints, hoofprints and heartprints that never leave us but flow through our veins and live in our hearts. ✨ . .
