Its always an honor and privilege to spend time with the President of the the American Dental Association and my esteemed colleagues collaborating on important initiatives shaping the future of #dentistry

Serving my peers and most importantly the patients/consumers is the highest of my aspirations and it’s an honor to be behind the scenes with the decision makers that run the industry.

Dentistry is evolving into a profession that focuses less on drilling teeth and more on saving lives and improving overall health!

Lots of fun with new friends, partners and colleagues in the Caribbean launching the #wakeuptrinbago campaign to help save 10,000 lives!

#Sleep Apnea goes undiagnosed in over 90% of patients who think that snoring and nighttime choking is normal. Most people with sleep apnea. Don’t even know they have it until they get comorbidities like a heart attack, stroke or diabetes and hypertension.

Once we hit our 10,000 lives saved through screening and treatment we will be donating $7,000,000 across 10 different NGO non profits!

Thanks for all the support from the various ministries, companies and community for supporting this launch! 🚀

Proud to be the CEO of Dentulu and watch my co-founder and chief technology officer @setshivakumarc represent dentistry globally at the United Nations.

Oral health is directly connected with overall health and we are using cutting edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to improve how we identify and solve diseases that affect billions of people globally.

My team is committed to advancing Dentistry as a profession to improve access to quality preventive dental 🦷 care and my dear friend and partner is teaching leaders in developing countries to do the same.

Proud moment seeing my company front and center at the United Nations as the only Dental company represented in these discussions in Vienna this last week.

🧬 Regrowing Teeth Using Stem Cells? The Future of Dentistry Is Here. 🦷

As an early adopter of Dental Implants placed by GPs I am very much looking forward to this. Scientists have introduced a revolutionary approach that could change how we replace missing teeth. This innovation” stem cell-based dental implants” uses the body’s natural regenerative power to grow real teeth instead of inserting traditional metal implants.

🔬 A study led by Dr. Jeremy Mao from Columbia University showed it’s possible to regrow fully functional teeth by stimulating the body’s own stem cells.

Here’s how it works:
📐 A biocompatible 3D scaffold is placed in the space where the tooth is missing.
🧪 Growth factors attract the body’s own stem cells into the scaffold.
⏱️ Within about 9 weeks, a natural tooth starts growing in place.

✅ Why this matters:
• No screws, no metal posts.
• Uses your own cells → less risk of rejection.
• Ideal for patients with jawbone loss or metal allergies.
• Faster healing, more comfort, and a completely natural outcome.

This isn’t science fiction, it’s real, and it’s reshaping the future of oral health.

🧬 What does your mouth say about your body?
Most people don’t realize this… but oral health isn’t just about teeth. It’s directly linked to some of the most serious conditions affecting the body:
🧠 Stroke
🫁 Respiratory Illnesses
❤️ Heart Disease
🧬 Diabetes
🤰 Pregnancy Complications

🚨 The common thread? Oral inflammation and bacterial imbalance.
My team at Dentulu are redefining dentistry by treating the mouth as the gateway to whole-body health.

✅ With our at-home saliva testing kits, you can now screen for signs of inflammation, bacteria, and disease risk—all from the comfort of your home.

🧪 It’s quick. Non-invasive. And could save your life.

🧠💤 What if your sleep could reveal signs of chronic inflammation without stepping into a clinic?

A groundbreaking 2025 study just linked poor sleep quality in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to measurable inflammation and all tracked using wearable devices. This is why I wear my Oura ring nightly

📉 Fragmented sleep
⏳ Longer time to fall asleep
⏰ Less total sleep

These aren’t just symptoms but they are signals.

As a provider in dental sleep medicine, I see how sleep, inflammation, and systemic disease are all interconnected. The mouth is often the first place these imbalances appear from airway obstruction to oral microbiome disruption.

💡 This study reinforces what I’ve been telling my patients for years:
👉 Improving your sleep is one of the most powerful ways to reduce inflammation and protect long-term health.

Wearables give us new tools. Dentistry gives us a new lens. Together, they offer a proactive approach to chronic disease.

I never expected that being a dentist would lead to knighthood in the Royal Order 🛡️🦷 This gives Sir a whole new meaning for me and comes with its own responsibilities
I’m incredibly honored to have been recognized for my contributions to the dental profession and my philanthropic efforts to expand access to care around the world.

Coming from a family of dental professionals, this journey has always been about more than teeth. Dentistry, to me, is about service, compassion, and the quiet, lasting impact we make on people’s lives and health.

To now be officially knighted in the same Royal Order with colleagues like @drbilldorfman and cultural icons like @paulaabdul and @tonibraxton as well as respected public figures like Senate President Emil Jones is surreal and deeply humbling. To stand among such esteemed individuals and represent both my profession and my community on an international stage is a moment I will never forget.

Sometimes, seeing someone else do something is all it takes to realize it’s possible. That spark of inspiration can shift your mindset and change your life. I hope this moment becomes that spark for someone else.

To my dear family and community as well as every mentor, colleague, patient, and partner who’s helped shape this journey, thank you! This recognition is a reflection of our shared vision to elevate our communities as well as our profession while bringing care to those who need it most. B’H

What’s next? Stay tuned. 🙃. #knights #knighthood #sir #royalorder #philanthropy #community #family #smile #dentist #dentistry #dentulu #accesstocare #teledentist #teledentistry #health #madar #pedar #merci #onward @dentulu by @the_modern_dentist

Sleep is the cornerstone of health. 💤

As an Oral Physician and healthcare provider, I’ve always recognized the powerful link between oral health and whole-body wellness — but being here at the Sleep Conference in Seattle surrounded by sleep medicine pioneers brings that truth into even sharper focus.

I’m proud to represent the dental profession on a global stage, ensuring dentists stay on the front lines of screening and treating obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Sleep apnea doesn’t just cause snoring or fatigue. It’s linked to:
🫀 Cardiovascular disease
📈 High blood pressure
🩸 Type 2 diabetes
🧠 Stroke & Alzheimer’s
😞 Depression & anxiety
⚡ Hormonal imbalances
🛡️ Immune dysfunction
❌ Erectile dysfunction
🧒 Even delayed growth in children

Yet 80% of moderate-to-severe cases go undiagnosed.
Dentists are uniquely positioned to catch the signs early — from airway issues to bruxism and anatomical indicators. This is about more than teeth — it’s about saving lives, improving sleep, and optimizing longevity.

💡 Dentulu is proud to partner with leaders in the sleep space to bridge medicine and dentistry — because health begins with sleep, and sleep begins with a healthy airway.

Swallowing fluoride?

Expecting moms, this one’s for you:

In this episode of Dental Heroes, I had the pleasure of talking with pediatric expert Dr. Pooyan Nasibi of Montebello Children’s Dentistry about one of the most controversial tools in dentistry: fluoride.

In this episode, we discuss:

✅ How fluoride helps build stronger, more resilient baby teeth
✅ Why where you live affects how much fluoride your child needs
✅ And why dismissing baby teeth can lead to big consequences for speech, development, and future oral health

Plus: Did you know your child’s permanent teeth are forming underneath those baby teeth from day one? 👶 Don’t wait until it’s too late.
