Let's be honest, with all that's going on, it's hard to FIX our thoughts on anything. Steadfast, immovable, fixed thoughts on any one thought seems pretty impossible considering everytime you set out to do just that, here comes something vying for our attention. Some of us ask why couldn't Peter just keep looking at Jesus while he walked on water towards him. I mean, he was walking on water towards the man he's seen do miracles live. What else could have mattered? Welllllll, put yourself in his sandals on that water. That little fish that swam by, it was your car needing gas and gas prices are rising. That jellyfish that was swimming by looked familiar and caused a rise in you because it stung you before; it was your rent/ mortgage going up again but not your income. That dolphin that came jumped in and out of the water playfully; that was your kids needing attention, a ride somewhere, money for an activity or bail because they were racial profiled or just in and out of trouble. That whale that brushed up against you and almost took you out; oh that was the relationship going haywire causing you stress, anxiety, and depression. And just when you didn't think you could take anymore, here comes that shark ready to attack; yeah, that was that job loss that finally took your legs from under you and all you could do was cry out, JESUS!!! So yeah, FIXED ain't easy, and that's why when someone says I'm protecting my peace, they have worked hard to become steadfast in thought. Because when you fight all those sea creatures by trusting God and no matter what happens, you keep shifting your thoughts to "BUT GOD GOT ME!" peace can't help but reside. It's not easy and does not change that life is going to life. But it will calm your sea because God is going to God! 😉 Happy Friday, lovelies! The weather has been nice enough recently to sit outside during my quiet time in the morning and I love it here! It's my thing! The past 2 days, I've had a visitor: a hummingbird. And when I say visitor, I mean come see about me in my face like maybe 3 feet away, hovering and staring at me for a few seconds before flying off. I love that God uses his creation to speak to his creation. It's definitely a reminder to slow down and pay attention, but also be still and know that God is present and listening! May you be reminded through my story to slow down and pay attention to what you tend to overlook so God can impart more wisdom! Happy Monday, good people! Have a great one! 💕 by @the_nataboo

Rae'Ven Kelly played young Anna Mae Bullock (bka Tina Turner) in What's Love Got to Do with It. In the church choir rehearsal scene, she kept singing "This Little Light of Mine" with so much passion that the choir director put her out of the church accusing her of not respecting the Lord. (I won't eat that up this morning because that's not my point.) However, that's exactly what she was doing...letting her LIGHT shine. God gave her a voice for all the world to hear and we did. That was her light. Just the same, God gave you light not to be hidden. Shine, my dear, shine! Don't shrink back when darkness is irritated, such as the choir director! There is a time and place for everything. When it comes to timing, do you just do it or do you put off until tomorrow what could have been done today. God's timing is perfect even when we think it's late, it's right on time. Sometimes the Holy Spirit prompts us to move and do immediately but we don't and we miss an opportunity for God to work through us. So every now and then I watch Nick Cannon's "Wild'n Out" show and one of their improv games is called "Pick up and Kill It." Basically, two rappers are given a topic. One rapper freestyles and the next rapper uses the last line of the first rapper's freestyle to start theirs. I'm not a rapper but I can write a little poetry from time to time and I think "Mondays" is a good topic. So here is your morning inspiration 😉:
🎤It's Monday and many go into their day with disdain
But I say, don't do it. Hop off that train.
You woke up this morning and so many didn't
God's got so many marvelous blessings for you not yet written
Shift your attitude and your energy will follow
Fill every space that's hollow
With your beautiful smile and love in your heart
Instead of being the same ole fart!🎤 😆
Now you 🎶pick up and kill it and kill it and kill it!🎶

God: “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalms 32:8 NLT)

Andddddd AMEN!!! I mean, what else is there to say?! Really?! Sometimes I don't know what to pray besides "God, show me what to do because I'm lost!" Well, he's not and he knows exactly where we are so what else needs to be said? And what an amazing response?! What better way to say, "Child, I got you! Just follow!" Chileeeee, let that stress melt away in this moment as you grasp hope, chill, and whew! We do what we can do and let God do what he does! He got us! Alright God, as we come to you on this last day of intentional community prayer, we pray our toughest prayer, which is for our enemies. You know we love to quote your word about you preparing a feast for us in the presence of our enemies (Psalms 23:5) because we love our enemies to watch us eat, but may we be careful not to rejoice when they fall or get happy when they stumble (Proverbs 24:17) because we could later watch them eat. But help us love them and pray for them (Matthew 5:44) instead of seeking vengeance that is yours (Romans 12:19) and my goodness, you do it best! God, help us only to heap burning coals of shame on their heads by feeding them when they are hungry and offering drink when they thirst (Romans 12:20). Touch their heart, their intentions, and their situations. Wherever they are not in line with you, cause a turnaround so they do fall in line with you and then bless them and all concerning them. Keep our hearts pure so we show ourselves friendly and not the enemy! We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name...Amen! Have a wonderful day and weekend! Good evening, God. As we lay down to sleep, may we lift up the lonely and depressed who feel darkness 24/7. Shine light in their darkness so they can see they were never alone and feel the hope that lies beside them. May we lift up the sick in body, mind, and heart. Heal them all the way down to the core where the stubborn piece of root tries to keep them bound to circumstances and sickness you've delivered them from. May we lift up the grieving, whether from lost loved ones, lost relationships, or loss of any kind. Give them peace and comfort like only you can and give those around them patience, understanding, and gracious spirits to give their grieving loved ones space to do just that! May we lift up the poor, homeless, and struggling for you to provide food, clothing, shelter, and employment. Increase a giving and cheerful spirit in those that can be the provision you work through. God, do what we need and use us to fill the needs! Good morning, God! Thank you for another day to lift others up in prayer. Today, we focus on leaders and leadership of all kind: teachers & school officials; pastors, priests, & all church officials and leaders; all governmental officials, organizational leads, social & environmental advocates/leaders; activists; etc. May we remember to submit to authority you have placed in authority to lead well (Romans 13:1). But when destruction and bad fruit are produced because they've run out of hand or it's one we've placed and appointed in position or title you never ordained them to be (Hosea 8:4), remind us to obey you over human authority (Acts 5:29) despite what may come, because ultimately, it is you we are serving anyway. But despite how they got there (you or our impatience), we pray that while they are there, they will lead with wisdom, the right agenda, are unity-minded and not divisive, and are for a true and right purpose. Protect them and their families physically and mentally. May they lead properly with justice, compassion, empathy, and love for all just like Jesus modeled. And God, may the successors (once you remove the current ones) receive the same blessings, protections, and mindset to do even better!
