Success is actually pretty boring.

Instagram makes it look like private jets, supercars, champagne, and waking up every morning living some perfect life.

But most of the time, success looks like doing the same things over and over again.

Working when you don’t feel like it.
Saving when you want to spend.
Investing when nobody cares.
Saying no to things you could afford.
Getting up and doing it again the next day.

The car, the dinner, the cigar, the view — those are the moments people see.

They don’t see the years of discipline that made those moments possible.

I’ve been fortunate in many ways throughout my life, and as I continue to build my business, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want that success to mean beyond myself and my family.
One of the things I’m working toward is building a foundation, funded through my own business, that can provide financial assistance to families who are genuinely in need while caring for a seriously or terminally ill child.
When a child is facing something that serious, families shouldn’t have to carry the additional weight of wondering how they’re going to pay their bills, keep up with expenses, or stay financially afloat. I want to help ease some of that burden so they can focus on what matters most — being there for their child and their family.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have opportunities that have allowed me to build, grow, and provide for my own family. I don’t take that for granted. If I’m fortunate enough to create something meaningful through my business, I want a portion of that success to be able to help someone else.
I believe in helping people the way I would hope someone would help me if my family were ever in that position.
There’s still a lot to build, but this is something I care deeply about. by @the_north_standard
