One of the most humbling things about this year has been realising that I can make plans, set goals, and have a clear picture of where I want to be, yet life can still take a completely different turn, and that turn takes you somewhere you never even considered.

I am learning that I don’t have to know every detail of the next five years to move forward with purpose. I can plan without pretending to have control. I can work towards my dreams while remaining open to a different direction.

For now, if you ask me what my five-year plan is, my answer is simple: within God’s will for my life.

I don’t have all the details. But I am learning to trust the One who sees what I cannot.

Growing in faith means becoming comfortable with not having the whole picture.

A few weeks ago, I joined the Fit for Impact 3.0 programme by @fitafricahq , and let’s just say I am leaving with a lot more than a certificate and a gallery full of pictures.

I came in expecting to learn about impact. I left questioning how I think not just about problems, solutions, partnerships, but also about my own life choices. 😅

One of my biggest takeaways was learning to move beyond “this is a great idea” to “but what problem are we actually solving, for whom, and how will we know it worked?” It sounds simple until you realise how often we skip those conversations and the impact their absence has on outcomes.

The sessions on systems thinking, Theory of Change, programme design, and impact measurement gave me fresh perspectives that I know will strengthen my work as Grants and Partnerships Lead at @soariafrica . More importantly, they reminded me that meaningful impact rarely happens by accident; it requires intention, strategy, and a healthy amount of asking uncomfortable questions.

And speaking of uncomfortable questions, I now find myself mentally creating theories of change for random things. Every challenge I want to tackle has become a goal, every goal needs outcomes, and every outcome apparently needs indicators. @fitafricahq , what have you done? 😂

A huge thank you to FIT Africa for creating such a rich learning experience and bringing together people committed to building solutions that actually work. I’m also grateful to SOARi Africa for the opportunity to keep learning, growing, and applying these lessons in ways that create lasting impact🙏.

You have a dream and see a random name; you wake up and the name is just sitting in your mind without context and explanation. Just… there.

This happens to me a lot and I have a note pad full of names 🤣🤣🤣

Most people shrug it off like it means nothing. But what if it’s not nothing?

Sometimes, what we call “random” is simply information we don’t yet understand. Not everything in dreams is irrelevant “ala o go”. Some of it is insight. Some of it is direction. And for some people, it’s the early signs of something deeper they’ve been carrying all along.

The truth is, a lot of people don’t realize they have the capacity to operate in the prophetic. So they dismiss impressions, names, images, or recurring thoughts that show up in dreams or quiet moments.

But if this happens to you often, don’t ignore it.

You don’t have to fully decode it in that moment. Just do one thing: write it down. Keep it. Patterns reveal meaning over time.
