Where are you?

If energy never disappears but
only changes form - where is your
energy? Where is it gone?

I have this recurring image of that
day.
The moment you died, particles
of you scattered and were released
into space. They seeped into everything
around you: the table, the chair, the bedside
cabinet
.
From there, they kept dividing,
making their way into the flowers,
the trees, the bee that was drinking
nectar, the birds
.
And from there,
into the clouds and the stars.
Part of you is even present
in the moon
.
So when I go looking for you,
I sometimes forget that I can
find you in everything.
Everywhere.
