HELLO!
My name is Kelly Demelio.

I am a creator and dance educator whose desire is to seek deeper connections and share my personal perspective and convictions through the art of dance.

My passion for art stems not from a pursuit of perfection, but from the understanding that we are humans before we are dancers. Through p(art), my goal is to educate, inspire, and help young artists uncover a deeper connection to themselves while finding their true purpose as dancers in the community.

The inspiration behind the p(art) project emerged from my growing awareness of the lack of genuine art in our dance community. I sought to create a space that would offer perspective, invite authenticity, and foster a path toward meaningful artistic expression.

Throughout the years, the invaluable insights I’ve gained have not only shaped my perspective on dance but also continue to drive my mission to share these revelations with others.

Thank you for supporting my vision for The p(art) Project. I am deeply grateful for every gesture of encouragement, every word of support, and for every dancer who has joined me on this journey. This community would not be possible without each and every one of you.

The p(art) Project exists to provide space and opportunity for dancers to deepen their connection to movement, redefine their purpose as artists and grow in a safe and encouraging community of like minded dancers.

It is a space where dancers can come together to explore, discover, and connect to their artistry on a deeper level. It is a space where we can be unapologetically human, where we prioritize growth over perfection, and where young artists can truly find their voices in dance.

We believe that dance is not something we own, it’s something we share.

We have opportunities for advanced and professional dancers ages 12+

These last two days have been absolutely magical. There will never be enough words to express the gratitude, connection and presence that exists in a p(art) space. A space cultivated by all of you.

SHIFT Day 1

The kind of energy that existed in our space today is something you can’t manufacture. It’s the kind of energy only possible through open and willing hearts, all coming together to create something we all can exist in, fully.

It’s contagious. It’s inspiring.

Last night was truly special.

We finally got to share what we’ve been holding onto these past two weeks.

So much of these artists hearts live inside this work. Every detail was shaped by their stories, their honesty, and their willingness to keep going deeper in the intention and reflection process.

I’ll never be able to fully explain what it felt like to witness their growth and hard work come to fruition on that stage. I am so proud.

It’s show day!!

Today we get to celebrate the culmination of 18 different voices being heard. All of the work these dancers have put in, to themselves, with each other and to the intention of our process, for the past 14 days, all coming to fruition. No words can explain how incredibly special this process has been for all of us.

We can’t wait to share our hearts with you.
