Menopause can show up in more ways than hot flashes. Sleep changes, brain fog, mood shifts, joint pain, fatigue, heart palpitations, changes in your period, and more can all be part of the transition. Knowing what to look for makes it easier to connect the dots and have a more informed conversation with your healthcare provider. Head to thepauselife.com to take our menopause symptoms quiz. #menopause #midlife #midlifehealth #menopausesymptoms #thepauselife by @the_pause_life
Incredible work Alice | Doctoral Researcher @ditto.daily on TikTok for this find!!!! Did you know menstrual blood contains powerful stem cells being studied to treat diseases? 🤯 Growing up, periods were shrouded in shame and secrecy—something we hid and barely talked about. Yet here we are, learning that menstrual blood is a literal source of life with the potential to change the world. 🌎 It’s time to rewrite the narrative and celebrate the incredible science behind our bodies. Let’s normalize the conversation. 💪 #MenstrualHealth #StemCellResearch #WomensHealth #PeriodsArePowerful #ScienceIsCool #BreakTheStigma #NormalizePeriods #HealthRevolution by @the_pause_life
Yesterday, my mother fell and fractured her hip, requiring a hip replacement. It’s heartbreaking, and I’ll be honest, I’m upset. She never knew that her frailty and osteoporosis were largely preventable. She also never took steps to fight these diseases—and now it’s too late for her. But it’s not too late for us. It’s not too late for our daughters. I’m not looking for sympathy—my mother is surrounded by love, and we’ll help her through this. But it deeply frustrates me that there’s so little information out there about preventing these diseases. This lack of education is costing us far too much, and it’s my fight to change that. We deserve better. Our mothers, our daughters, all of us deserve access to the knowledge and tools that could save our health and our independence. #OsteoporosisPrevention #FrailtyAwareness #BoneHealth #StrengthAtEveryStage #menopause #perimenopause by @the_pause_life

A breast cancer diagnosis shouldn't mean the end of the conversation about your quality of life. On this episode of unPAUSED, I sit down with oncologist Dr. Eleanor Teplinsky (@drteplinsky) and challenge outdated beliefs about estrogen, breast cancer risk, and menopause care. Because women deserve more than fear and blanket answers. We deserve informed choices. ✨Comment POD for the full episode! #menopause #breastcancer #midlife #womenshealth #midlifehealth by @the_pause_life

Midlife changes you. And maybe that’s the point. Less proving. Less shrinking. Less perfection. More strength, self-trust, rest, and taking up the space you deserve. 💛 Here’s to becoming the woman you actually want to be. #WomensHealth #SelfLove #FitnessMotivation #Wellness #WomenEmpowerment by @the_pause_life
“What do you actually take?” It’s one of the questions women ask me most. Here’s a look at my prescription and supplement routine, from my hormone therapy to what goes into my daily shake and what I take before bed. And yes, I still take Testosterone. 🙂 It was just already packed in my suitcase when I filmed this video. 😂 This is my personal routine, based on my health history and needs. Yours may look different. Use this as a conversation starter with your clinician about what makes sense for you. Still waking up at 3am with a racing heart, night sweats, or wide-awake anxiety even though you’re on HRT? Your hormone therapy may need a closer look. Progesterone timing, overnight estrogen levels, and circadian support can all be worth discussing with your clinician. The goal isn’t just falling asleep. It’s staying asleep and waking up feeling like yourself again. 💛 #Menopause #Perimenopause #WomensHealth #HormoneHealth #SleepHealth by @the_pause_life
Menopause misinformation and dismissed symptoms scare me more than any horror movie. What worries me most is how easily women learn to expect less from their care. To downplay a symptom. To leave a question unasked. To assume that feeling worse is simply the price of getting older. I want to change those expectations. We should be helping women protect their strength, asking about bone health before a fracture, and taking symptoms seriously when they interfere with daily life. And we should be willing to say “let’s look at the evidence” even when the loudest voice in the room sounds certain. If you’ve stopped asking for help because you’ve been dismissed, I understand why. But that dismissal does not make your symptoms less real or your questions less worthy of an answer. Which of these would you add to the list? #menopause #womenshealth #perimenopause #midlife #midlifehealth by @the_pause_life
What’s the real story behind weighted vests? I tried The Pause Life’s new one so you don’t have to guess. Dr. Mary Claire Haver’s team sent it over and I was beyond excited. If you’re not following her yet, please do. She’s a board certified OB-GYN who has helped get perimenopause and menopause talked about. We love her. Here’s my honest take. What I loved: it’s really soft. Other weighted vests I’ve tried are scratchy, and this one is comfortable and adjustable, with little pockets for your phone and keys. It forms well to your body and is very comfortable, the weight is evenly distributed. Why it matters: as estrogen drops, we naturally lose bone density and muscle mass. Walking with a little extra load helps challenge your muscles and bones, and that’s what we want. Will it make you lose weight? No, not by itself anyway. It’s not a weight loss tool. It’s an add-on to your nutrition, movement, strength training, rest, and recovery, not a replacement for any of them. How to start: they make an 8, 12, and 16 pound vest. If you’re new, start with the 8. A good rule of thumb is 5 to 10% of your body weight. I’m in the 12 because I already train. The link is in my bio if you want to check it out. If you get one, tell me what you think! @the_pause_life @drmaryclaire by @the_pause_life
