POSTS STORIES REELS

For various reasons we have a quiet week at our event space. So we’re doing some maintenance and looking for areas to improve. And look we have a self driving lawn mower. We’ve upgraded
Joking apart he’s doing a good job in those difficult to reach areas.
Hopefully the weather stays kind and we can use the activity field a bit longer. Of course you can always use the under cover area
If you are a dog professional and looking for a space please contact me

Have you had a spooky Halloween?
The weather played its part as well. First a bit foggy for the atmosphere and then lovely sunshine for nice autumn walks.
This week will be quieter here @the_pawproject
We have bonfire night which unfortunately means lots of loud fireworks. So most dog people hide when it gets dark.
Have a marvellous Monday by @the_pawproject

Scottie had a busy week so he’s having a lie in but I’m sure he will be ready for action very soon. Just recharging
Remember to have enough sleep. Autumn is a time of change and adjusting. It can be exhausting
Above all enjoy the time with your furry friend

In the last 12 months we had the pleasure to have a Christmas charity show, a retirement party and the first scurry trial @the_pawproject
It was lovely to see our place alive with dogs and people. Dressed up, fancy dress, waggy tails, serious job, lovely treats for canines and humans
Great memories

Are you a dog trainer and looking for a venue?
Have a look @the_pawproject
We’re between Underwood and Moorgreen, close to exit 27 from the M1.
The sun was lovely the other day so I can show off our activity field and our front of house.
This used to be a converted barn and now houses a therapy room and a grooming parlour. And lots of space to mingle and put up some decorations
Next time I show you the undercover spaces
Just message me for more info

Today is black cat day.
Pumpkin and Spice are our security team @the_pawproject
They’re doing a good job. Every morning they just appear and check up on me. Making sure I pay them in high value food and fuzz.
It’s so lovely to have them around.
And our old lady at home is another beautiful example of a black cat by @the_pawproject

The last of the autumn flowers and what a beauty we found amongst them. Cash showing off his sit and stay.
Ready for the new week
Have a marvellous Monday from @the_pawproject

My thoughtful Thursday is about age.
So often I tell my clients old age is not a disease.
We don’t slow down because we are old. Most of the time it’s because we have pains, often osteoarthritis.
It’s not just the number of years, it’s how we were put together and what we’ve done over the years.
Young and old can have pains for lots of reasons. What we do about it, is a very individual choice and sometimes very difficult. There are so many variables and no 2 cases are the same.
All this came back to me when my 26 year old mare had colic and the choice was surgery or euthanasia.
As you can see from the pictures we tried and so far she’s doing ok. 2 week post surgery and we’re already bored. Only 10 more weeks to go
We all try our best

Not long now and it’s Halloween.
We think of it as American but lots of cultures celebrate end of October/beginning of November for example All Saints and the day of the dead.
Maybe the longer nights make us more pensive. Some people think during those days the veil is thinner and we can talk to our late loved ones on ‘the other side’.
Whatever you think or believe embrace the memories and celebrate their lives.
The decorations are for fun and ridicule. And with a dog by your side you shouldn’t be afraid of the dark.
Have a look at our scary stuff and show me yours

Step into the new week like Scottie. The new hair do made him more aerodynamic and even faster.
Or instead you could slowly approach Monday and just enjoy autumn
