There’s something about this image that feels quiet but intentional. The open landscape, dry grass, muted colours and the way he’s moving through the frame give it a raw, almost cinematic feeling. I wanted it to feel like more than just a fashion image like a moment from a story.

We drove 5hrs outside the city to find this landscape and make the idea feel real. This shoot represents a medium of transition for the artist, moving away from the familiar and into a new space, sonically, visually and creatively. The location became part of that transition, helping us capture the feeling of stepping into something new.

ADÉ 👑 ( CROWN )

Growing up in Yoruba land, I was surrounded by women whose presence carried a quiet kind of power. Through the way they dressed, the way they carried themselves, and the traditions they preserved, I learnt that identity can be worn, protected, and passed down.

I’ve always been fascinated by the things we carry without realising it, our language, our traditions and our sense of belonging.

This work is an ode to heritage, to the women who embody strength with grace, and to the beauty of remaining connected to where you come from while becoming something new.

Some roots don’t hold you back.
They hold you together.

Perhaps that’s what transition really is, carrying where you come from into who you are becoming.

Sometimes, you have to lose the version of yourself the world recognises to find the one that is truly yours.

By stripping away detail and identity, this work explores the body beyond labels and asks a simple question:
