OCT - Ascent, Bloom & Sacred Fire ❤️‍🔥 Spring is gathering momentum and everywhere we look, life is becoming more visible. Blossoms open, leaves unfurl, birds become louder, the later evenings stretch out and Naarm fills with colour and movement. What was hidden begins to reveal itself again. This month, we are working with the themes of Ascent & Bloom : the movement of rising, opening, expanding and becoming more fully alive. It is the simple act of returning to yourself, allowing what has been gathering beneath the surface to rise, and following the impulse towards greater aliveness, expression and possibility. 🌙 October Astrology ✨ October brings a beautiful tension between Libra / Scorpio : between relationship, beauty and balance, and the deeper realms of desire, intimacy, transformation and truth. We begin with the New Moon in Libra on 10 October, inviting new beginnings around relationship, reciprocity and harmony. Then Venus stations retrograde in Scorpio on 3 October, beginning a journey that will eventually take her back into Libra. Venus retrograde invites reflection around love, pleasure, desire, intimacy, values and what we truly find beautiful and worthwhile. In Scorpio, these questions can become particularly deep: What do I really want? Venus remains retrograde until 13 November. On 23 October, the Sun moves from Libra into Scorpio, shifting us from the airy realms of relationship and balance towards something more intimate, instinctive and transformative. Scorpio asks us to go beneath appearances and meet desire, shadow, sexuality, power, death and rebirth. Then, on 26 October, we meet the Full Moon in Taurus. Where Scorpio asks us to descend into depth, Taurus brings us back into the body: pleasure, sensation, nature, nourishment, materiality and the simple act of being here. Swipe 4 events ❤️‍🔥 SAVE THE DATE 🔮 I’ll be reading Tarot @shellspace__ for their Halloween pop up party 🎉 Friday 30th Oct. Stay tuned for tarot reading bookings. Last time I sold out! 🕷️ Witches Circle 🕷️ At this month’s Witches Circle, we’ll gather around the energy of Fire and explore its many faces: the flame of desire, the spark of inspiration, the co by @the_plot_thickens__
Join us @ Library Portal this Saturday 19th Sept 7-9pm to celebrate the return of spring, light and growth 🌱 We gather in circle to honour the spirit of the land, Persephone, rebirth and the snakes returning from hibernation. We weave flower crowns, chant in ritual, and tap into our intentions by planting seeds 🌻 More info in bio 🐣 by @the_plot_thickens__
SPRING EQUINOX 🌱 The land around us is beginning to bloom, earlier this year too 👁️ The sun will move from Virgo to Libra, light will balance dark and the season shifts to spring. Welcome Ostara - the festival of rebirth, growth and new beginnings 🐣 Swipe for equinox tips/rituals >>> Welcome this threshold with us at temple Maenad this Saturday 7-9pm @ Library Portal. Welcome springs arrival 🌸 Build a small altar using natural symbols from the land. Seeds, flowers, feathers, snakeskin, eggs and vines (Jasmin is popping off right now). This recognition helps you see the transitions mirrored in yourself 🪞 Honour the land spirits 🧚 They’re pretty active in spring! Leave an offering of flowers, nuts or seeds as reciprocity with the land you walk and work upon. Balance 🌞 We move from dormancy to rebirth, dark to light, slumber to ascent. Focus your attention to what you can rebalance ⚖️ Watch the sunrise 🌅 Take a dawn walk, notice the shifting land and season. As you move into the light, ask what is being illuminated in your life? Notice what is happening in nature… These will become your seasonal cues for years to come. Work with flower 🌷 Use flowers in your spell craft to honour beauty, temporary cycles and our own ability to bloom. Make a wreath, bundle or crown. Charge it with power, protection or charm 🌸 Reflect 📖 What wants to grown through you now? What needs to bloom? Journal your seasonal firsts, your intentions and spend some time asking yourself what you value? Venus in retrograde will reflect these questions 🤔 Sow Seeds both physical and spiritual. Plant seedlings or sow seeds in freshly tended gardens. Infuse a seed with intention, plant it and watch it grow 🌻 I use sunflowers, as they will bloom at the summer Solstice. Consider your intentions and make practical steps towards them. Breakfast - Make a breakfast feast symbolic of restoring energy. Include eggs, fresh seasonal fruit and veg, pancakes and/or solar buns. Invite friends to feast with you 🍳 Spring cleaning 🧹 Sweep stagnant energy from your home, open windows/doors, smoke cleanse with lavender, wash your floors with mint and basil and welcome fresh energy in. by @the_plot_thickens__
Join me this Saturday @ceresbrunswick for a gentle walk where I discuss the upcoming spring equinox and how it has been celebrated across time. Together we will connect with nature and the bloom of spring around us. Learning about flora, fauna, history, rituals and how you can create your own traditions. This is the time for sowing seeds, physically and spiritually 🌱 There’s a few spots left!! Follow the link in my bio 🐝 by @the_plot_thickens__
🌸 Spring, Fertility & Rebirth 🌱 After the deep stillness of winter, the world around us begins to stretch, unfurl and remember itself. The days lengthen, the rain drenches, buds swell on bare branches and tiny green shoots push their way through the earth. There is something magical about witnessing this return. Nature responds when the conditions are right. Here in Naarm, September invites us into that same movement of emergence. We are beginning to turn our faces towards the light, to feel the subtle lift in energy, and to ask ourselves… what am I ready to bring back into the world? This month, I invite you to join me in a series of gatherings that build towards Ostara. Witches Circle 🕷️ Our theme this month is Ascent. We will explore the energy of coming back into being. Together, we’ll look to the natural world and Persephone as our teachers to consider what it means to rise, awaken and reclaim our own vitality after a season of rest and reflection. Book via the link in bio Witches Circle is held at the library portal every 2nd Monday evening of the month 🕷️ with @dominionwept Join my LAST beginner-friendly Walkshop at CERES, reconnecting with the living landscape around us. Through mindful observation, nature connection and intention-setting, we’ll slow down enough to notice what spring is already teaching us. This is a reboot of last years sold out Spring Equinox Walkshop. I’ll talk about Springs themes and rituals, Ostara and the traditions that inspired Easter. Book via the link in bio 🐝 Ostara is the spring equinox. A moment of rebalance after winter’s dormancy and a reemergence towards the light. And finally, Temple Maenad gather for our Ostara Ritual, a coming together of witches to honour the arrival of spring and the sacred balance of the equinox. Together we will celebrate emergence, renewal and the return of the light, marking not only the turning of the Wheel but the new beginnings unfolding within each of us. Book a spot via the link in bio 🐛 Join our coven for an Ostara ritual Saturday 19th Sept 7-9pm at the Library Portal 🌀 Sorry folks, I’m pretty booked @the.shady.lady.bar and @daddybarbrunswick this month.
