I loved the 6 books in one week challenge so much last week that I chose to do it again this week! This will be of a challenge this week because I don’t have audio for we already dug the grave and the plus one list. Having the audio helps me complete books! I bought the physical book a few weeks ago and was glad it was a novella. I also bought the Audiobook so that I could listen while exercising and at work. After listening to the first 3 chapters, I realized this is a book that MUST be listened to. It’s a great audiobook with the full cast. There is zero spice, which is not what I’m used to with the empyrean series.
I will say that I LOVED Xaden and Sloan’s chapters the most! Brennan and Mira‘s chapters were emotional to me, knowing what happens to their parents. Every chapter gave me something to look forward to with book 4, and also made me remember why I love this series so much. I loved everything about threshing day and can’t wait until or is released!

Thank you to Karla Sorensen and NetGalley for an advanced reading copy and an advanced listening copy of Until I Remember in exchange for my honest opinion. Until I Remember was released to retailers and on Kindle Unlimited on September 22, 2026.

Until I Remember is different from what Karla Sorensen has written in the past. I have read a lot of her sports romances and loved every single one of them. This billionaire romance is different because it starts with tragedy and details the hard road of a couple who are having to work hard to regain her memories of their past and hopefully work towards a future. I definitely enjoyed it, and mainly listened to it in less than 48 hours. I got a LOT of books shelved at work while listening!

The audiobook is FANTASTIC! Shane East was the perfect Grant with his posh British accent. I could listen to anything Samantha Brentmoor narrates, and she did phenomenal as Mercy! There is so much good about this book that I do not want to spoil the book. This is a different direction for Karla Sorensen and I am here for it! #netgalley #karlasorensen #immersivereading #audiobookreviewer

Thank you to Cosmo Reads and NetGalley for an advanced reading copy of Reign in exchange for my honest opinion. Reign was released to retailers on September 1, 2026.

I started reading Reign on a Saturday on the way to my son’s cross country race. I finished it 2 days later. I ended up buying the audiobook on Audible so that I could listen while I was exercising and putting up laundry. A romantasy that I ended up enjoying a lot more than I thought I would based on the Goodreads reviews. I rated this 4.5 stars because the character growth of Niamh was so fun to read and experience. From feeling chained to her family and the Lowlands, a tragedy taking her to The Walled City and war, and then growing into her full self, I really enjoyed her growth. The love triangle could have been developed a bit more, and I am hoping for a book 2 and that Fitzory and Niamh will have a HEA. I did not enjoy how Bash was written at the end, that was heartbreaking. But the explanation from Emma and Fitzory tied it all together.

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the advanced listening copy of Bad Words in exchange for my honest opinion. Bad Words was released to retailers on October 6, 2026.

Bad Words had me thinking long after I finished it. I loved it, and the enemies to lovers trope was done SO well here! The Asian American representation was also an element of this book that I enjoyed. I enjoyed the cultures mentioned, and gained more knowledge about the different cultures the more that I read. Parker and Selena were characters that were proud, ambitious, and flawed. Pride made the eventual HEA take a LONG time, but how they loved and understood each other by the end was worth all the drama.

This is a book about words, and words are definitely used in a smart way here to bring the plot to life. I loved the narrators and loved how they brought the characters to life. Written by a debut author, this is a smart novel that brings enemies to lovers to life in such a fun way! #netgalley #stmsartinspress #audiobookreviewer #badwordsbook

Thank you to Hambright PR and Piper Rayne for an advanced listening copy and an advanced reading copy of Holding Ground in exchange for my honest opinion. Holding Ground was released to retailers on September 10, 2026.

Piper Rayne gets the BEST narrators. I read all their books in an immersive reading style. I can listen to anything Jason Clark narrates. He can narrate a textbook and I would listen. But he was perfect as the male narrator for Holding Ground. He brought Elliot to life in such a great way. I also enjoyed Callie Dalton in this book. She brought Emelia to life with emotion and empathy. Both narrators brought every part of this book to life in such a fun and spicy way!

I love the single daddy trope and this was no exception. Single daddy and small town???? You know there will be spice when these two tropes are together. Even spicy, the plot was amazing. I can’t wait to read book 2, I have already requested the arc/alc. This series is going to be a hit for Piper Rayne, much like the Dugout series was! #hambrightpr #piperrayne #holdingground #immersivereading

I say I’m found to stay off NetGalley and I never do. I was able to get the audiobooks for vex and hex and the sugar and spice kitchen. I already had the arcs so I’m excited to read these in an immersive read way. I already had the alc for falling like snow, so again, more immersive reading for me! The other books are 2027 reads that I was pumped to get. I’m still at 74% feedback rate, but I know I can get to 80% soon! #netgalley #arcreader #alcreader #immersivereading by @the_reading_librarian
