⚔️ **Rustam and Sohrab — A Father’s Tragedy**

A story of war, fate, and a heartbreaking truth discovered too late.

Sohrab searched for his father, dreaming of standing beside the greatest warrior he had ever heard of. Rustam entered the battlefield without knowing that the young warrior before him was his own son.

They fought as enemies…
A father and son, separated by fate.

And when the truth finally came to light, there was no victory left to celebrate—only regret, grief, and a father mourning the son he never got the chance to know.

📖 Based on Ferdowsi’s **Shahnameh (Book of Kings)** — one of the greatest epics of Persian literature.

Some battles are won with swords.
**Some are lost long before the sword is drawn.**

*A shepherd's son grew up to steal the most legendary throne in history. 💎

This is Nadir Shah — from humble beginnings to conqueror of Persia, he marched into Delhi in 1739 and claimed the legendary Peacock Throne, encrusted with the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond. The wealth he carried back to Persia was so vast, it reportedly exempted the entire country from taxes for three years. The Mughal Empire never fully recovered.

Historical account, 1739 CE

The Koh-i-Noor diamond still exists today — in the British Crown Jewels. 👇*

*A slave girl walked into the Ottoman palace. Thirty years later, she was running the entire empire. 👑

This is Kosem Sultan — brought to the palace as a young girl of Greek origin, she rose through sheer intelligence and political skill to become the most powerful woman in Ottoman history. As mother, wife, and regent to multiple sultans, she governed an empire from behind its walls for over three decades — a period historians call the "Sultanate of Women."

Historical account, 17th century Ottoman Empire

Proof that real power doesn't always need a throne. 👇*

Centuries later, in the heart of the Mughal Empire, Emperor Akbar attempted something completely different.

Ruling over people of many religions and cultures, Akbar invited scholars and religious leaders to debate and discuss their beliefs. These discussions helped shape his vision of tolerance and unity.

In 1582, he introduced what became known as Din-i Ilahi—a spiritual and ethical order associated with ideas of morality, tolerance and harmony.

But was Din-i Ilahi truly a new religion?

Or was it Akbar's attempt to create unity within one of the world's most diverse empires?

With very few followers and no widespread acceptance, Din-i Ilahi disappeared after Akbar's death—but the questions surrounding it remain.

🏰 The Hashashin & The Mystery of Alamut

High in the mountains of Persia stood the legendary fortress of Alamut—home to the mysterious Hashashin. Led by the famous Hasan-i Sabbah, they became one of the most feared and misunderstood groups in medieval history.

Surrounded by powerful enemies, they could not rely on massive armies. Instead, they built a network of mountain fortresses, intelligence and political influence. Their name later became connected with the word “Assassin,” but many of the stories we hear about them are still debated today.

Did they really use Hashish before missions?
Was there truly a secret garden that made followers believe they had seen paradise?
Or were these stories created and exaggerated by their enemies?

The truth behind Alamut remains one of history's most fascinating mysteries.

*He traveled nearly 75,000 miles across three continents — far more than Marco Polo ever did. 🗺️

At 21, Ibn Battuta left Morocco for pilgrimage. He didn't return home for almost 30 years — serving as a judge in Delhi, journeying to China, and documenting nearly every corner of the medieval world.

Historical account, 14th century

*The word "algorithm" comes from his name. The word "algebra" comes from his book. 🔢

Al-Khwarizmi's mathematical work in 9th century Baghdad quite literally shaped the language of modern computing and mathematics — most people use his legacy every single day without knowing his name.

Historical account, Islamic Golden Age

*The most powerful ruler of his time disguised himself as a commoner just to hear the truth from his own people. 🌙

Caliph Harun al-Rashid ruled over Baghdad's golden age, but at night, he would walk the streets disguised as a merchant, listening to real concerns no one would dare share with a caliph. These legendary journeys inspired the tales of One Thousand and One Nights.

Historical legend, Abbasid era
