Compassionately serving and empowering the impoverished and oppressed in East Africa

POSTS STORIES REELS

Our water tower was installed by sheer manpower and sticks - surely nothing can surprise us now in Africa 🤯

We were praying the whole time that no one would get hurt. You can hear the relief in the cheers at the end! by @the_saviour_project

Day 14 of construction, and we have walls on the first level!! AND we have a firm foundation, with scripture on the floor.
“For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”

It has been SO encouraging and rewarding to see the impact that @the_saviour_project is having in Uganda!!

The kids already look much healthier and stronger than our previous visit in September 🥹

Every child deserves a safe place to rest, learn, and play. Thank you for trusting me with your generous giving. You will never truly know the incredible impact your support is making ❤️ by @the_saviour_project

We haven’t even launched the campaign for our new sleeping dormitory, and it is already FULLY funded! 🎉🙌👏

“I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” - Psalms‬ ‭9‬:‭1‬

Miracle, after miracle. Clear direction and provision.

I am constantly in shock and awe of how God is using this project. What a blessing to see His heart for His children in Uganda, and to get to play a small role 🥹🙏

If God has called you to something, He will make a way! “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

One of the sweetest moments of our October visit was gifting each of our grade 5 and 6 students with their own Bible!

In impoverished places, children don’t own toys or books, and it’s unlikely that Christian families even own a household Bible. The kids were SO excited to get their own Bible. They said it is their greatest treasure 🥹🥰🙏 by @the_saviour_project

“For generations to come” 🙏

The Saviour Project Vision:

To see vulnerable children and families flourish through Christ-centered communities where basic needs are met, and education, discipleship, and sustainable opportunity break the cycle of poverty for generations to come. by @the_saviour_project

The main purpose of our current Uganda visit was to check on the progress of our water project 💧

If you missed the exciting news, we drilled a water well in July!! 🙌

Since July, our water tower has been constructed, and we are now awaiting the installation of the water tank and community taps.

It was INSANE to witness our water tower being installed, and we were praying the whole time that no one would get hurt!

Fun fact: When the water surveyor assessed the site in July, he initially estimated a potential yield of approximately 3,000 liters of water per day.
BUT after drilling, they discovered the well has the potential to produce 7,000 liters… per HOUR! 🤯👏 A literal miracle!

This water is life-changing for our students, orphans, and surrounding community. The well has provided access to clean water for drinking, cooking, washing, sanitation, and irrigating our farmland 🌱 by @the_saviour_project

Our favorite volunteer teacher 🥰

Thank you @merel.maaren for all the fun lessons and activities, organizing the office, teaching the teachers, finishing the storage room, and so much more!

You are such a blessing, and all our students, staff, and orphans absolutely adore you! ❤️ by @the_saviour_project

My orphans love to go on daily runs with me! The little kids do .5 - 1 mile, and the older kids do 2-3 miles.

It’s been fun to see their natural talent, and watch as they demonstrate resilience, confidence, and determination through running 💪

I’m so proud of all of them, but especially this 6 year old for crushing a MILE, barefoot!! 👏👏 by @the_saviour_project

It’s so good to be back at our orphanage in Uganda, with all our sweet kids 🥹🥰❤️ by @the_saviour_project

Farm to table - chicken from our own coop! 🐓

Thank you to everyone who sponsored our chicken project! You are providing our orphans with nutrition, and also opportunities to learn 🐣 by @the_saviour_project

Our boys were so happy to get new clothes!! Thank you Smith Family 💙 by @the_saviour_project
