Met the phenomenal @therealjasonisaacs at @lex_con today in Lexington, Ky!! 🏇
.
His first words to me at the autograph table were “ hello my favorite sister in law!” And I about died on the spot. We talked about HBCs hair and wands. Then for the photo op ( he used his wand I brought!) told me that he was “ right handed” - proceeded to scoot around me and instead of a powerful slytherin pose I had planned ( in my anxious head..) he proceeded to use my pose on ME 🤣🤣 so I guess now Bellatrix has been tortured by Lucius Malfoy lol

When I knew I was gonna make the Dark Arts feature at #wbtourlondon I KNEW I had to go dressed as Bellatrix 💚

I’m not going to lie to you, after going as year one Hermione a few weeks earlier and realizing NOBODY else cosplays there on a daily basis, I almost didn’t even bother unpacking my Bella cosplay. BUT, I knew I’d regret it in the end if I didn’t .. so I washed my hair so it would give me fresh curls & I threw on my dark eye makeup and buttoned up my vest corset. Off I went.

I’m so glad I did, because it was so fun and I I got SO MANY compliments. I was actually so humbled and floored by this. Not only did multiple staff members acknowledge me and tell me I looked “amazing” etc, but fans did to; including a flock of teenager girls I saw staring at me and eventually they approached me and gave high praises.

Most notably, however, was the employee who came up to me and said “ as someone who worked with the death eaters on the movies I have to say your outfit is incredible and you look amazing..” When I asked him what his role was bts he stated he helped choreograph stunts for the DE in the films.

When I walked around I caught stares and heard the word “ Bellatrix” in multiple languages and people tried to get their families attention. It was surreal tbh.

Meanwhile, in my head I was worried my lipstick was coming off & my hair wasn’t as dry as it needed to be which made it look thinner than usual😩 so I was actually quite self conscience. But all these compliments really made me feel GOOD!👏👏

The next day, I woke up to a message from @thewizardnomad stating he saw me at the tour and liked my cosplay. He had found me, by accident , through a mutual friend post by @magicwithmarisa

The world is much smaller than we think.
What we do matters. 💚👏

Moral of story: Wear the outfit. Do the thing.
Be yourself. The right people will find you.

& who knows maybe I inspired a younger girl to be herself,unapologetically🥺

Christ Church, you ARE spectacular 🥹🫶

IYKYK! Seeing this staircase in real life was nothing short of amazing. If you’re a potter fan, you know that this staircase is ICONIC.

I could’ve stared at it all night long.

During the off season for students, Christ Church opens up the rooms to create what is similar to a bed & breakfast. For about $300 USD you can get a room with two beds in it, a full bath, fridge, kettle style boiler, desk, and amenities like towels, soap, and more.

The best part? You get full access to the grounds after hours & in the morning there’s an all you can eat breakfast, buffet style, in their great hall. 🍳☕️🥞

This great hall was said to be the inspiration for the great hall in Hogwarts 🥹

“ I solemnly swear that I am up to no good “ 👣👣

Staying the night at @christchurchoxford was such an amazing experience. We nearly had the place to ourselves at this iconic HP location!

We took so many pics and made so many good memories there. I def would recommend making this stay a two night stay as to enjoy the town more than we got to and be able to relax rather than check in/ check out so fast.

We also went to @newcollegeoxford This same day and @bodleianlibraries ( although it was closed for a private event I took a quick peak inside 🤭🤭)

Lacock Abbey stole my little Slytherin heart 💚

We strolled around & saw Slughorns house, The Potters house, and the cloisters at the Abbey- then we had a delightful dinner and angel hour ( like happy hour!) at @signoftheangel , which is, incidentally the white building showing in the background when Dumbledore and Harry apparate into Budleigh Babberton in Half Blood prince. We had the best time drinking in the garden & laughing 🫶

It was the most quaint and cutest town ever & it looked like something straight from Hogwarts Legacy. America could never compare to its beauty and culture.

I had a wonderful gluten free fish and chips with mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce with £5 local prosecco 🍾

I left Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 kicking and screaming. I came to the USA and suddenly it all seems so blah… so mundane.. so ugly… so simple. Big department stores, ugly boxed buildings, schools that look like prisons… and don’t get me started on the lack of castles, cliffs, and small villages with cobblestone roads. 🏰

I already hated it here because the orange Cheeto in the white house but … damn.. now I hate it even more knowing what I’m missing out on to the east of us.

How can I become a citizen? Asking for a friend 🤭🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Last night we got back home from a 14 day overseas trip; a trip I have wanted to take since I was merely 9 years old. 🫶🌎

We went to the places I knew that, in my heart, I’ve always belonged… I was always supposed to be.

⚡️The trip was very heavy on Harry Potter, but we also made it to multiple castles ( one that was even in Outlander), the beautiful highlands, the ocean, the bay, and the inner-city of London to see historical places like The Elizabeth tower and the Tower bridge.

In all these videos I was very happy and just enjoying my life. I even left the sound on a few of them so you can hear me scream like a chicken when he picks me up and carries me away. 🤣 I also wanted to showcase all my outfits, this seemed like a perfect way to do it.

This was one reel I knew I wanted to work on, where at each major location we visited Justin would spin me out of frame. Justin was a pro at it 💪🏼

It was super fun to do and we only forgot to do it once ( sorry Christ Church, you were so beautiful that we forgot!)

I got this idea from Carla and her hubby, Carols. @giojammies - I thought, what better/more fun way to show all of the places I’ve been in under 30 seconds?

We had too much fun with this audio 🤣 of course I had to do the ginormous hair flip & me almost falling was 100% genuine lol.

meeting @jay_macgregor_ was such an amazing experience & forever grateful she took the time to travel to see me from west Scotland. We had so much hanging out all day, drinking at @department.magic , and shopping 🫶

📣What a privilege it is to have sore feet from traveling. What a privilege it is to have a full belly from trying new foods. What a privilege it is to meet someone after 2 years of talking about our favorite things. What a privilege it is to laugh until you can’t breathe.

Never in my life did I think I’d find friends across the ocean willing to spend the entire day without ever meeting me irl first. I am truly blessed. 🫶

This day was so fun! Ty Jay for showing me around and twinning with me!
