Y’all… I would love to share a milestone. 💚

I’m making my professional directorial debut with a short play called On-the-Rag Dolls by @allisonfradkin , and I would absolutely love for you to come see it.

It’s part of the 10th Annual Tapas Short Play Festival and is one of nine original short plays being presented!

At first glance, On-the-Rag Dolls is about a little girl getting her first period at a sleepover. But it’s really about so much more than that.

It’s about the shame we’re taught to carry. The stories we inherit about our bodies. The fear of growing up. The things we don’t say out loud. And what healing can look like when we’re finally given the space to ask questions instead of hide.

It’s funny, weird, heartfelt, imaginative, and I think there’s a little piece of all of us in it, no matter where you fall on the spectrum of humanity.

I have to admit, this script hit close to home. When I read it, I laughed and I cried because I saw parts of myself in all three characters.
I also struggled with feeling terrified of “growing up” as a woman. I hid my period from my father for about two years before he eventually found out.

If you’ve ever wondered why something as natural as a period can carry so much fear, embarrassment, or silence, this play explores that in a way that’s both playful and deeply human. It also reminds us that we have agency over our own lives. We get to choose our own path, no matter how much external pressure is placed on us.

It would honestly mean the world to have the people I love in the audience for my first show as a director. Come laugh with us, cry a little (maybe 😭), and support an incredible cast and creative team.

HALLOOWEEN 2025 . I had the greatest pleasure of setting up at @thejasminesgarden “Sinners in Wonderland Event” with @suckmyartnow @lotusflyshop. From the creative expressive costumes and energy overall, It was heart warming to see so many people intentionally coming together to support one another (within the event and outside of it)🥰🤗 by @the_shutterhub

Found my SD card with these photos I took of my dear soulbrothers. I had just started learning about lighting for photography and had bought some lights, and was scared to start holding photoshoots. 😂🤦‍♀️
They volunteered to be my “guinea pigs” and let me experiment! We talked about concepts, and they brought clothes and raided my closet lol, we gathered props, and together we played and created. My sister came and helped as well, filling the space with positive, uplifting energy and an extra creative eye. I’m so very grateful to them for always holding space for me to be wild and free, and to play and discover. I LOVE YOU ALL 🥹🙏🏽 Thank yous for playing with meee. by @the_shutterhub
