For absolute astronomy nerds. Way better than it seems. The distance between Mars and Earth is constantly changing because both planets orbit the Sun at different speeds and in elliptical paths. Ever thought of covering this distance? This application solves just that. by @the_space_doc

Unfortunately the breaths are slowing down. She is indeed a living creature herself. When scientists combined satellite data on seasonal changes, they discovered that the Earth appears to "breathe" through the rhythmic expansion and contraction of plant life, snow cover, and atmospheric carbon dioxide. Inhalation (Spring and Summer) and Exhalation (Fall and Winter). • Recent studies show that as the global climate warms, northern ecosystems are experiencing longer growing seasons, causing the planet to take "deeper breaths" increasing the seasonal swing of atmospheric carbon dioxide levels. by @the_space_doc

Comment and I will remind you. On october 4th, Saturn will rise around sunset, stay visible for most of the night, and set around sunrise. It will also appear brighter and slightly larger than usual, making this one of the best times of the year to observe it. During this time Saturn will be closest to Earth. by @the_space_doc

Comment and i will send you the drink. Approximately 99% to 99.9% of the visible, ordinary matter in the universe is made up of plasma. It forms when a gas is heated or energized so much that electrons break free from their atoms, creating a soup of free negative electrons and positive ions. Unlike regular gas, plasma conducts electricity and reacts strongly to magnetic and electric fields. by @the_space_doc

From 4 hours to 24 hours long. He calmed Earth down. The Moon makes Earth's days longer by slowing down our planet's rotation through tidal friction. The Moon is actively slowing down Earth’s rotation, making our days longer over time. Through a cosmic tug-of-war called tidal friction, the Moon’s gravity pulls on our oceans, creating a constant braking effect that adds about 1.09 milliseconds to our day every century. Billions of years ago, a day on Earth lasted just 18 hours! As Earth loses its spin energy, it gets transferred to the Moon, causing it to slowly drift about 1.5 inches away from us every single year. Talk about a long-distance relationship! by @the_space_doc

Wait, I couldn't trust my eyes. Watch until the end. Since the dawn of the cosmos, time has been one of the greatest mysteries of the universe. What’s truly fascinating is that it flows differently depending on where you are in space. While time can be perceived in countless ways, we humans have always trapped ourselves in numbers. Imagine how time would feel if you watched a planet revolving in the void. You would feel it passing as a serene, silent flow rather than a stressful ticking sound. This timepiece does exactly that. A planet revolving in mid air, completely defying gravity. A Rogue planet is a planet that doesn't have a star to revolve around. It goes on and on in deep space alone. Let's bring it home. by @the_space_doc

When out Earth formed it did not have a moon. A mars sized planet named Theia collided with Earth and merged into it. The shattered pieces of both the planet started spinning around Earth forming rings just like Saturn. But these rings were temporary soon the pieces merged to form something bigger something prettier something to enhance the night sky. The moon. by @the_space_doc

The final boss. Formation of the Kuiper belt. In earlier days the solar system was filled with dust and debris of all kind. The collision rates with planets were high.
Formation of Neptune and it's gravitational interactions with large objects ejected many of them into the outer solar system, forming the Kuiper Belt. Kuiper belt is a huge belt of asteroids and dust that revolve around the solar system and is beyond Neptune. by @the_space_doc

Not becoming what you wanted isn’t failure. Jupiter is made mostly of hydrogen and helium, just like stars. The difference is mass. To become a true star, an object needs enough mass and pressure at its core to trigger sustained hydrogen fusion. Jupiter during it's formation kept on cleaning the solar system and engulfing all the massive rocks. It even engulfed a mars sized planet to make space for Earth. As a result it became a massive one but it could somehow not attain the threshold mass required to become a star. Just like Pluto couldn't to become a planet. So Jupiter never became a star. It is also known as a Failed star today. But that doesn’t make it a failure. It became the largest planet in our Solar System, with an enormous gravitational influence and its gravity can alter the paths of passing asteroids and comets. by @the_space_doc

A must required change for an upcoming danger? Astronomers using the NASA Hubble Space Telescope discovered a massive, 10 sided decagon-shaped atmospheric wave swirling around Saturn’s south pole. When the NASA Cassini Spacecraft orbited and photographed Saturn closely from 2004 to 2017, there was absolutely no sign of this decagon. It seems to have suddenly formed around 2023. Scientists have never witnessed a giant, geometric planetary wave completely spawn and assemble itself in real time until now. The case appears to be unknown. Unlike a solid geometric shape, the decagon isn't perfectly static. Data shows that the longitudes of its corners sway back and forth over roughly 32-day cycles. Some segments momentarily weaken, lose contrast, and then sharpen up again, making it look almost like a giant, pulsing geometric engine made of gas. POV you visited an astronomy lover's room. An eclipse is an astronomical event that happens when one celestial body moves into the shadow of another or passes between it and an observer. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun. It blocks all or part of the Sun's light from reaching Earth, casting a moving shadow on our planet. by @the_space_doc

When it's about charisma Neptune wins. Neptune is the eighth and most distant major planet from the Sun in our solar system. On Neptune, the clouds themselves are not actually blue; they are typically white or pale yellow. The intense blue background you see is the planet's actual atmosphere, which is rich in methane gas. Diamond rain is a real planetary phenomenon. It takes place roughly 7,000 kilometres beneath the cloud tops of ice giants like Neptune and Uranus. by @the_space_doc
