The first fish I ever caught would not lie down quiet in the pail but flailed and sucked at the burning amazement of the air and died in the slow pouring off of rainbows. Later I opened his body and separated the flesh from the bones and ate him. Now the sea is in me: I am the fish, the fish glitters in me; we are risen, tangled together, certain to fall back to the sea. Out of pain, and pain, and more pain we feed this feverish plot, we are nourished by the mystery.

I miss Vann, I miss how he made me laugh, how smart he was, how it seemed like there was nothing he couldn't do. For the first time I woke up and I couldn't turn to him for advice or to show him something funny I saw. I couldn't send him a stupid photo of a project I was working on and I couldn't expect him to do the same. For most of my life he was a constant, I love him and I hope he felt how important he was and how much I looked up to him. As ridiculous as it sounds I felt like we had a future planned out, whatever happened wherever I was I would find a way to get back and see Vann. I miss you and I'll never forget what you've done for my life. I'll remember you in spring days, in the art you gave me, the scars we have from falling when we longboarded, and the spring flowers that bloom on your birthday as if just for you. by @the_theory_of

The hardest part about going to Mass MoCA is that they keep trying to suck Zoe into the air ducts. Type "vacuum" if you think they should keep trying. taken in MASS MoCA by @the_theory_of

Nepenthes villosa x hamata I keep hidden in my basement as a contingency in case the government collapses and we need to switch back to the gold standard.

The shadows of the abyss are like the petals of a monstrous flower that shall blossom within the skull.

Bring forth the seeds of the dead to share with the worms that gather in the darkness... Heard during the night: screech owl, nighthawk, a few foxes. A blessing, A relief. taken in Bar Harbor, Maine by @the_theory_of

(Spathulata x spectabilis) x lowii from @carnivero is really getting after it. The tendrils on this plant are actually preposterous in their length and... Rigidity...
