I’ve sacrificed a lot just to protect my peace and keep a clear mind while elevating me and my babies to the next level.

I had to be honest with myself too… sometimes I can be my own worst enemy. But I’m learning to love on myself in every season I’m in, not just when everything feels good.

Everything I do won’t make sense to everyone, and I’m okay with that. Everyone isn’t meant to understand your choices or the sacrifices you have to make.

I’m doing this for something bigger than me… I have two beautiful boys depending on me, and I refuse not to show up as my best for them. 💙💙

No voice over today… because honestly I’m tired.

Trying new products, learning my 4C hair, detangling, moisturizing, protecting it… sometimes it feels like a full-time job. I just want long hair already 😩

But I know even when it gets long, the maintenance doesn’t stop. So for now I’m just focusing on consistency… even on the days I don’t feel like it.

Growth is happening… even when I’m tired. 🌱

Sometimes we’re scared to cut our hair because we think shorter hair means we’re losing progress. But holding on to damaged ends can actually cause more breakage and slow down real growth.

My hair may be shorter now, but those ends had to go if I wanted my hair to thrive. And honestly, this applies to life too😌💅

Hanging on to things that are no longer healthy, whether it’s damage, habits, or relationships, can hold you back from real growth.

I don’t know about you guys, but 2026 feels like a soft reintroduction for me. I’m focused on growth, balance, and building a future that actually feels aligned. Between school, work, and wellness, I’m learning that taking care of myself has to come first because everything else flows from that. 2026 I’m taking my natural hair journey seriously
My focus is density, length retention 💗 and consistency… not hopping from product to product.
I’ve tried this journey on and off for years, but nothing has worked for my hair the way Donna’s Recipe has.

The shampoo, conditioner, hair cream, and strengthening oil have my hair feeling hydrated, balanced, and finally responding the same all over.
For the first time in a long time... I got a good twist-out… and that tells me I’m doing something right.
Consistency over everything.
