Last Saturday,The Ako Adjei mural mixer brought together artists, first timers ,and members of the community for an afternoon of colour ,culture and connection. What started as a blank wall quickly transformed into a vibrant mural filled with bold expression and collective creativity.
This mural now stands as a lasting reminder of what can happen when people come together to support local art and bring life to shared spaces 💕

Massive thank you to you all for making this happen!
Special thanks to our lead artists @kweku_ogyefo @tafarituff and @shopwollo who's "stories from accra" artistic commentary added unique layer to this project.

You can view this mural at our Location @the_velvethut , Osu next to the Ako-Adjei park by @the_velvethut

Get your hands dirty, and reconnect with the earth with this beginner-friendly pottery workshop where creativity meets tradition and calm. In this hands-on session, you’ll work with natural clay and learn simple hand-building and traditional techniques to shape your own pottery piece. Guided step-by-step, you’ll explore traditional Ghanaian methods while embracing the beauty of imperfect, handmade forms. This workshop is about more than making — it’s about grounding, and creating with intention. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and open hands. Join us!
