The story behind @artbyvickyd_hair is one I'll forever treasure. It's a reminder to me to keep hope alive in whatever season I'm in and to be open to see where the wind would take me.
I'm grateful for the people I've been able to serve and the bond I've formed with some of you over the years because of this very business. I'm excited for what this new season has to bring. @artbyvickyd_hair is very much still in business ❤️ by @the_vicky_d

We should get very comfortable quitting and starting over as many times as we need to no matter how "shameful" it may be.
Allow people to say what they want to say or laugh at you. It'll hurt, but this is a journey between you and God, nobody else. by @the_vicky_d

"How do I console this person?" Is definitely a question we've all asked at least once in our lives when we hear someone we know looses a loved one.

I may not be speaking for everyone but I've had to deal with the loss of people I've loved dearly and I know what helped and what definitely didn't.

Whatever you decide to do, I'll always be an advocate of being the kindest version of yourself all round especially in such times.

Dealing with the death of a loved one is weird and confusing. You're expected to go through life with the pain and heartbreak you feel and it's very likely that you take out your frustration on the people around you without even realising it.

A lot of people have no idea how to show support to someone that's grieving and even if they do, whatever they know may not be what you want/ need at a particular time. It'll help if you communicate what you want or don't want in those times.

Understandably, you wouldn't be in the headspace to do this repeatedly for everyone but at least, to the people that you care to have a relationship with long after the initial grieving phase is over, be compassionate to them. They've either never lost someone and don't know how to act and they're definitely not in your head. Politely and clearly set boundaries and try to be kind even when your heart is heavy. 🤍 by @the_vicky_d
