Didn’t get the result I was hoping for, but it was my first callback and my first phase two casting, so there was a lot to take from it.

One thing I’m learning is that chasing a dream isn’t just about the wins. Sometimes it’s the people you meet along the way.

Meeting @jamescassidy.1 was definitely one of the highlights of the day. Top lad 🤝🏾❤️

I got invited to a phase two casting with a modelling agency
#GETSTAMA EP. 10

After London, I honestly wasn’t sure what the next step would be, so getting this email was a nice surprise.

I’m trying not to get too excited because, for some reason, whenever I do… life has a funny way of keeping me humble. 😂

I know this isn’t a guarantee of getting signed, but it feels like I’m moving in the right direction.

One step at a time.

Another day of walk-ins… another round of rejections
#GETSTAMA Ep. 9

Last day in London and the second day of walk-ins didn’t go much differently from yesterday.

4 agencies and no breakthrough this time, but it was nice connecting with other models at @jadoremodelsagency open call and meeting @j3reck in person

I can’t say I’ve got any positive signs from the London walk ins, but I’ll like to believe there’s a lesson learnt.

It’s back to the drawing board and I’m not ready to stop just yet.

First Day of Walk-Ins in London…
#GETSTAMA Ep. 8

This is honestly one of the videos I didn’t want to make, and part of the reason it took so long to even start GETSTAMA.
I know rejection is a major part of modelling, so I expected it but documenting it though… that’s the part I wasn’t looking forward to.
But I committed to showing the whole journey, so here we are.

Today I visited six modelling agencies for walk-ins, including @nevsmodels and it didn’t go in my favour.

I’d built up an idea of how walk-ins would go, thinking I’d get the chance to have a whole conversation, but I didn’t account for the fact that agencies see so many people and that simply isn’t realistic for every walk-in.

I got rejected at the first hurdle by all six and I’m not going to lie, it stung.

But there are still more agencies to visit tomorrow.

So we go again.
