There’s always another play, always another fire, but sometimes its good to sit in stillness with what matters most by @the_wizard_sync

Play Haven has been an exciting experience so far! It feels like a continuation of my purpose and I couldn’t be happier to ask you for money!

Atlanta playwrights have been under served and under utilized here in our great city and at Play Haven we are hoping to change that! When I go to cities like Chicago and NYC there is new work being presented everywhere WHY NOT HERE? If Atlanta influences everything why isn’t it?

Georgia is 49th out of 50 in arts funding, that’s 3 cents per person. So we need your help to get these stories told!

33 felt like a serious level up professionally, personally, and spiritually. But 34? 34 is off to a hell of a start. Can wait to see where else this year takes me. by @the_wizard_sync

The world is literally on fire. My friends and I are making some art that is beautiful and tries to call us back to us. Give where you feel called. I want to pay these people for their work.

"I heard once that there are two ways of looking at the world: as if nothing is a miracle, or as if everything is."

Let me tell you: everything is.

I had the distinct privilege to perform Fat Juliet on my mom's birthday, with 60 of my beloved community members. I'm proud of the story we told together, and grateful for the space that we were given, and the way the audience carried me.

To my collegues:
@laurenemilymorris is a dream of a director. She searches out the soul of a piece and advocates for it passionately, while empowering her colleagues to do the same. And then has the technical prowess and knowledge of craft to make a story come alive. Wild. She makes every room sparkly. To every challenge, she showed up with artistry and humanity.

@x.alejandra.xx is a combo of wit and wisdom that I have never encountered. She has a sharp directorial eye, and an inate understanding of the heartbeat of a story. Her voice was critical in shaping this thing, and I am ever grateful to her.

@the_wizard_sync asked the right questions from the beginning. He is the picture of kind intellect, and was perfect advocate for the story and for my heart. I appreciate the hell out of him, and cannot wait to marry him.

@lotta_little provided stability and movement genius in just a few rehearsals. I'm always grateful to work with them, but even more-so when I can learn from the way they move their body through space.

@essentialtheatrega (especially Jen and Peter), thank you for your fierce advocacy for Georgia artists. Thank you for the space and resources that you gave to make this happen. Our city is better because you are here.

Thank you for your work. taken in 7 Stages by @the_wizard_sync
