If you're interested in joining, want information on schedule/hours, or just want to drop by for a tour send us a message and we'd love to get you going💪🏽⚾️🥎 by @the_yard_baseball

The game of baseball is challenging enough on its own and in today's world the game is changing fast. Athletes are bigger, stronger, more athletic than ever. Competition is apart of the game and passing the eye test is a big factor. Do you take your nutrition seriously? Do you take your recovery and trainings seriously? There's always someone out there working harder than you trying to take your job.

If you want to play at the next level you need to be prepared physically and mentally for what's to come. There's a home for everyone and you have to find your fit but understand it's not as easy as you may think, it takes a-lot and everything matters. Here's a look at what some of our college and pro guys stand in at. If you think you're doing enough you can always do more!🥩👀 by @the_yard_baseball

Post Outing Recovery

Our pitchers will perform some type of flush/cool down after their appearance. We do this to promote bloodflow to try and enhance recovery. Whether it's a type of cardio or band exercise, movement is medicine. Doesn't have to be strenuous just enough to move the body around and help regain any lost ranges of motion and keep our guys healthy and progressing through fall and upcoming season. Take care of your bodies!🦅🥩 by @the_yard_baseball

Game Day Lift

Game Day Lifts consist of exercises to be used as primers for the body and the athletes performance. Volume is low but the intensity is high. Sprint, Jump, Move Fast. Fly around time for the Birds!🥩🦅 by @the_yard_baseball

Wrapping up September with our people!

Everyday is a new opportunity to achieve new goals. Keep the standards high and believe in yourself. Keep pushin'! by @the_yard_baseball

Speed and Power Training

Within Speed and Power training, Intent is a key driver. Jump through the roof, sprint as fast as you can, move weight as explosive as possible. We are trying to promote explosive patterns from Rate of Force Development (RFD). There's tons of benefits in Plyometric and Sprint work to help improve power and explosiveness.

Early Off-Season your volume and load can be higher due to less demands on the body from not playing as much as you would In-Season. Example:

Off-Season:
Speed Squats: 6x5
Band Jump: 6x5

In-Season:
Speed Squats: 4x3
Box Jump: 4x3

Your structure of program is important for the athletes and their performances each day and every week. Find the balance, stay consistent, and keep pushing!🦅🥩 by @the_yard_baseball

Early Off-Season Forearm Training

Pull-ups and Farmer Holds are two staples for us come off-season. Both exercises promote grip strength and work your extensors/flexors. Pull-ups will progress throughout the fall and we'll add other forearm exercises down the stretch. Get really good at the simple things. Forearm training and health is crucial at the start of fall. The athletes will get daily forearm work from swinging/throwing so it's important to be mindful of how much is too much. Having strong forearms helps prevent things like tennis elbow, golfers elbow, and any tendinitis. Make sure you're taking care of your arm!🦾 by @the_yard_baseball

Back to work for @bchs.bsb! Week 1 we start our function and fundamental program. Movement Matters. Early off-season is the time to build quality patterns and efficient movements. Move well, train well, play well. Build a strong base so the house will be built to last. Go time for the Birds!🦅🥩 by @the_yard_baseball

Another summer in the books! So proud of all our athletes. Your off-season can be a reflection of your In-season. Continue to show up and put in the work.

Keep your foot on the gas pedal, now the real work begins! More to come🥩👊🏽 by @the_yard_baseball
