A few days wandering Disney World before heading back to LA for a big shoot next week — fitting, considering what we’re making. 👀

Ridiculous sunsets, an almost empty EPCOT late at night, and random conversations with people from Morocco, Pennsylvania, Alabama, a Dead Head, France, Portland and everywhere in between.

Different places. Different lives. Somehow everyone finds something to talk about here. A few things I saw along the way. ✨

The Hopeless Show goes to the Laugh Factory! 🎙️😂

How does a guy who can speak backwards (Guinness record) end up on Letterman and Johnny Carson, become a prolific inventor with 300 patents—including the Nerf Vortex football—work with some of the biggest names in entertainment…and eventually become CEO of the Laugh Factory?

Apparently, you have to ask David Fuhrer. 😂

We sat down with David to talk about his very unusual brain, struggling with ADD in school, Laugh Factory lore, inventions, comedy, success—and what keeps him curious enough to continually wander into entirely new worlds.

And somehow, that’s still only part of the story.

There’s something about being there — especially up high at the Bowl, taking in that view, wandering around, and never knowing who you’ll meet.

Foo Fighters playing the Hollywood Bowl for the first time — with the LA Phil, a youth choir, and Gustavo Dudamel conducting his second-to-last show.
Rock + orchestra + choir. Different worlds that don’t belong… until they do.

Thousands of people singing together. Fireworks. A few shooting stars. (Seriously there was a shower of them toward the end in the sky. Woah 🤯) And somehow I ended up singing “My Hero” with a guy working at the Bowl. 😂

In a world where so much happens through screens, nights like this are a pretty great reminder of what happens when we actually show up.

And the night still wasn’t over… 😃😜

Somehow, we made it to episode 200. 😂 And there’s a ton more to come. Get ready ….

Thanks to everyone who’s come along for the ride so far — especially all you Hopeless Hopers. ❤️
200 episodes of incredible people, strange places, disagreements, discoveries, and questions we definitely didn’t know we were going to ask. And despite the name, somewhere in all that Hopelessness, we keep finding a little hope.

In Episode 200, we look at where we’ve been, where things might be going, and how we’re actually hopeful about what comes next.

And obviously we go to Comic-Con asking whether furries might actually be more authentic than corporate America. 😂

Maybe the point isn’t having all the answers. It’s staying curious enough to keep asking the questions.

Still Hopeless. Still curious. So much more to come!

There’s something special about music when everyone is invited.

Thousands of people, together in the middle of the trees at @sterngrovefest, watching Public Enemy — for free. No matter who you are, what you believe or what you can afford, the music belongs to everyone.

And props to Flavor Flav for reminding everyone that whatever our differences — religion, background, beliefs — we don’t have to let them divide us.

What a gift to a city. We need more of this. ❤️

Sometimes the biggest takeaway from Comic-Con isn’t what happens on the stage. It’s what happens between the stages.

This year reminded me that some of the best stories don’t begin on a stage—they begin with a conversation.
Along the way there were a few unexpected moments (including a Green Day surprise 🎸), but what excites me most are the conversations that could become future collaborations.

Looking forward to sharing what’s next. 🎙️
