Because apparently a regular gallery crawl wasn’t enough 😂

We added DJs.
We added food trucks.
We added restaurants.
And we’re still calling it an art event.

Friday, October 9, Downtown Newark is the move.

Art Night Out
6PM to 10PM

Come hungry.

Art first. Drinks after. Or both at the same time 😂🍷

Participating Downtown Newark bars will be joining the Art Night Out experience with specials throughout the evening.

Consider this your official excuse to gallery hop and bar hop.

🍸 Bar crawl list dropping soon.

Yes, bring the kids 🎨

Art Night Out is for the whole family.

We’ll have interactive painting activities and creative experiences for the little ones while everyone explores the crawl.

Friday, October 9
6PM to 10PM

Now you know where we’re going 👀

The Art Night Out crawl is moving through galleries, cafés, shops, cultural spaces and activations all across Downtown Newark.

Save this post. Send it to the group chat. Build your route.

And remember, VIA Newark is helping you move between stops for free.

RSVP in bio.

FREE free 😂

Art Night Out is completely free to attend, you just have to RSVP.

Last year’s Art Night Out was an entire vibe. And this year its back!

Maybe you start with an exhibition. Maybe you follow the music. Maybe you finally step inside a space you’ve walked past a hundred times. Or maybe you come without a plan and see where the night takes you.

The 2nd Annual Art Night Out @ NAF, in collaboration with Art.Walk. Love is an invitation to move through the city and experience how culture comes alive.

Explore participating venues, spaces, public spaces, performances, etc. Don’t forget to catch the On Purpose Group Exhibition at Express Newark, Bisa Butler Presents at ArtSpace (ticket required), Night Fest at Mulberry Commons and so much more. Build your own night across the city.

Start planning your Art Night Out at the link in bio.

Thank you to everyone who came out to Art Block. 🤍

A huge thank you to every artist, vendor, food truck, DJ, volunteer, and every single attendee who came out to support. I truly appreciate every one of you. None of this would be possible without this amazing community.

Over 1,000 people gathered on one block in Newark and the best part was that it was nothing but good vibes, love, and not one act of violence. That is something I am incredibly proud of. We created a space where people could enjoy art, fashion, music, food, and each other safely. That is what community looks like.

Shoutout to @thestreetwearexpo for collaborating with us and helping bring this vision to life.

And last but DEFINITELY not least, thank you to my team, both Team A and Team B. No matter what we faced that day, you stayed locked in, believed in the vision, and got the job done. I could not have done this without you. I love you all.

Newark showed up. The community showed out. Until next time. ❤️ taken in Newark, New Jersey by @theabbya
