#flashbackfriday to baby Clover. Every night when I sat down to watch a show, he would sit, stare and sometimes bark until I picked him up. He just wanted to snuggle on the couch with me 🥰

Clover still loves to snuggle. He doesn’t know what personal space is and will push his head into whoever he is snuggling with. He is such a love bug. by @theabcdoodles

Happy Buddy Day!

When we flew to Disney at the end of June, we hit turbulence as we descended. My daughter was scared. I told her when I’m scared, I talk to Buddy and it helps me. She closed her eyes and I heard her whispering to Buddy. She told me it helped her feel better.

Buddy isn’t with us on earth anymore, but he never left us. He is with us always. It’s a beautiful thing that we all still talk to him and feel him when we need him most. He was such a special boy 🌈💙 by @theabcdoodles

I’ll start this post with that Ace is absolutely fine, but he really scared us on Sunday!

After our beach day, we were loading up the boat to go home. In the mix of it, we didn’t realize that Ace left the group. We didn’t know until my husband asked where Ace was. I told him I thought he had Ace. Ace was not with him. My husband went one way on the island and my father went the other. I met up with my dad to help. The fear we felt was like no other. Inside, we were all praying that he wasn’t in the water somewhere.

Thankfully, my husband found him down the beach. It turns out when a family walked by us with their four dogs, Ace decided to go with them. My husband found him running around playing with the dogs. I guess now that he is 11, he has decided to go on his own adventure 🤪

It took me a bit to calm down honestly. I felt mad at myself because I should have seen him leave. But then again, it was a mistake and I never expected Ace to just follow another family.

I am extremely thankful that he was found safe. He wasn’t missing for long, but it felt like forever. I did give him a big hug and kiss when we got home. But I also know now I need to watch him much more carefully. by @theabcdoodles

Just four dogs living the life!

We went on Ranger’s boat and then to the beach. Our cousin, Ceres came too. We had the best time 🏖️ by @theabcdoodles

On Wednesday, while giving Clover a bath, I saw a red mark under his back leg. It was round, but very red. It was white in the center. I assumed it could be a bug bite, but wasn’t sure so I sent a picture of it to the vet. Our vet is on vacation, so the vet filling in looked at it. The picture I sent looked like ringworm so they asked me to come in. It turned out not to be ringworm and is indeed a bite. The vet does think it was a tick bite, but we can’t be 100% sure because we didn’t find a tick. Clover does wear a tick collar and also takes tick prevention monthly. So it appears if it was a tick, it died when it bite him. Today, the bite mark looks more like a fading bruise and he thankfully doesn’t seemed bothered by it. We will monitor him just to be on the safe side! by @theabcdoodles

Happy Wet Dog Wednesday and Won’t Look Wednesday!

Mom took us swimming today and we had the best time! She holds Clover back so I can get the toy. And when it’s Clover’s turn, I just explore. She has tried throwing two toys, but Clover just leaves his to steal mine. I will then try to get his, but he’ll then leave the one he stole to get his back. And since Mom doesn’t want to have to swim to get the toy too, this works best 🤣

I love swimming and so does Clover! We even played tug of war. After our baths, we both took very long naps. by @theabcdoodles

Happy TOT! It was much cooler today so Ace wanted to play. We played tug of war, chased each other and wrestled. I was a very happy boy! by @theabcdoodles
