A month ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a portfolio review discussion with the Art Director.

Once again, I was reminded of how challenging it is for juniors to break into the industry many companies are reluctant to invest time in training and mentorship, preferring experienced professionals who can contribute immediately.

During our discussion, I also emphasized my passion for experimentation something I believe is essential for designers at any stage of their career.

I’m sharing this post because I find design today to be increasingly monotonous. I don’t need to be an art director or an exceptional designer to express my opinion I stepped out of my comfort zone long ago.

I’ve moved to a new country for the second time, learned a new language, and continuously push myself to study and analyze design deeply.

Of course I can name a couple of designers from my big list who do unique things in design/ one of my favorites is of course Massimo Osti who brought colossal experience to the design industry. @nigelcabournengland / @soar_running / @aimeleondore / @ten_c_official @massimoostistudio @stoneisland and of course @6876 with whom I had an interview, which was not planned, I just told him let’s have a short conversation

It’s been almost a month since my last post. Studying has taken most of my free time, and honestly, not much in fashion made me want to write. A lot of what I see is the same ideas recycled. The industry could use fresh air and new voices.

Lately, I’ve really enjoyed outdoor shoots; as I’ve mentioned before, it’s likely the only setting where everything is authentic rather than artificial.
You don’t have to worry about complex lighting, props, or artificial backdrops the beauty is already there.

Make use of natural light, organic textures, and the landscape itself. Every element of the shoot comes straight from nature: trees, stone, earth, water, foliage, mountains, and the open air.

The result is sincere, natural, and effortless a visual story in which the product blends seamlessly into the very environment it was created for: the natural world. by @theabcofstyle_

Belstaff × Pellerossa

Belstaff lifts the veil on its long-standing collaboration with Pellerossa S.R.L., a family-run leather goods manufacturer based in Northern Italy. Founded in 1986, the company is currently managed by founder Vanni and his daughter Camilla, maintaining a partnership with Belstaff that spans nearly three decades.

Photography and video footage showcase the creation process of Belstaff leather jackets from raw material to finished product.

Hand-waxing is a key stage in the process. Each jacket is waxed by hand during a labor-intensive, hours-long procedure that provides the leather with a protective coating and imparts the distinctive look of a garment with a history. Skilled artisans then handle the cutting, gluing, stitching, and finishing, after which the jackets undergo hours of drum processing. This creates an aged effect and that unique, “lived-in” look that defines Belstaff leather goods.

In the final stages, the jackets undergo inspection, steaming, and if necessary re-waxing. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and controlled finishing processes gives each piece a unique surface texture.

Ultimately, this feature is more than just a story about a manufacturing location; it reveals the material through the lens of the process itself showing how the leather is treated, transformed, and imbued with its unique qualities through expert craftsmanship. by @theabcofstyle_

I think this could be one of the more interesting footwear collaborations this year.

Moncler + Clarks Originals + fragment take the classic Wallabee and completely change its construction. The suede upper keeps the familiar, almost heritage feel, while the shoe gets a much more technical base with GORE-TEX, a Vibram Megagrip outsole and Moncler’s Trailgrip technology.

I especially like the contrast between the traditional suede and the technical materials. It feels like two different worlds coming together classic workwear-inspired footwear and modern outdoor performance.

This is the kind of collaboration I find more interesting: not just changing the colours or adding logos, but using materials and construction to create something genuinely different. by @theabcofstyle_
