I can’t cook to save my life, but I can style a kitchen like I can!! It is a pleasure when it’s one this perfect. Three great days in Augusta with @yssinteriordesign @dsdixonarchitect @christinaelake and @hectormsanchezphoto shooting this gorgeous home. #inloveonlocation #havekitwilltravel. The most wonderful birthday delight that arrived unexpectedly, early, and has given so much pleasure. Much gratitude to @galerie_half by @theabeasley

As September is my birthday month, I was delighted when @_laureniverson , a sister Virgo, asked me to talk all things style in the September issue of @atlantahomesmag
Along the way I got to call out the talents of a few of my favourite friends… @dixon_rye @thenicholsongallery @jacksonfineart @christybush_pictures @erdem @gramercyhome Style is how you live and breathe, from the simple to the grand, but mostly I focus on the simple gestures that make your life feel grand because face it, not many of us live in castles these days. As the late great Diana Vreeland (perhaps the chicest woman ever born in September) said, “You gotta have Style. It helps you get up in the morning!”

Finally a minute to commit this to the grid…. Such a delight to style this project so beautifully designed by @annaboothinteriors and @castrodesign. Truly a breathtaking home! The stellar builder is @davidlewisandco. I could not have done a thing without @mikki.lewis_ Thank you Mikki! Thank you to @rusticwhiteinteriors for being such a creative and helpful collaborator. Many thanks to @thenicholsongallery for the stunning French tian in the kitchen and the 17th c candlestick among other lovely things I used, to @michelletoole_ceramics for the beautiful vase which stars on the bedside chest, and always to @_laureniverson and @atlantahomesmag by @theabeasley

Summer inspiration so far….. As someone who melts and becomes a grumpy bugger once the temp goes above 75, I spend my summer days only imagining myself hosting fabulous dinners in floaty caftans, or pruning my hydrangeas in board shorts I just picked up in Ibiza. In truth, I’m likely in bed, blinking like a mole at the very thought of the bright light and counting the days until cooler weather. The last time I lived in Savannah (a different century) I did manage to croquet and picnic in the blistering heat, wearing full Victorian dress no less, on a regular basis. Not that I wasn’t hot, but somehow playing dress up takes the edge off the brutality of the heat and humidity. Therefore, if I muster some energy between now and October I may try my hand at making a voluminous green reticulated frock such as above and flaneur about in some garden that is in no doubt parched to bits. What mad folly awaits ? by @theabeasley

Mayhem and Mischief. I was just trying to eat my breakfast. The “shake down” is truly real. Bagels, yogurt, garbanzo beans….. does not matter. by @theabeasley
