Abode (noun): a place of residence. A dwelling place. In Exodus 40, when God’s presence first filled the tabernacle, that place became known as the abode of God. That’s what we’re building. A dwelling place for God. A welcoming home for people. The journey begins now… 🕊️🕊️🕊️ by @theabodechurch
Remember that feeling of walking through the front door after being away? The smell that’s cozy and familiar. The people who are actually glad to see you. The way you can finally exhale. That’s what we’re building at The Abode. Not a place you slip into unnoticed. A place where the door’s always open — and you’re never treated like a guest. Curious? This is your sign. Come see what home feels like. Link in bio. by @theabodechurch

We couldn’t let Pastor Appreciation Month come to an end without honoring our head pastors, @tannerming_ and @leilaniming_ , for their faithfulness and commitment to pioneering and stewarding what God has entrusted to them through The Abode Church. Church planting is no small feat, and day after day, they continue to say yes to the call with such grace, passion, and resilience. Everyone who encounters their shepherding experiences the true heart of Jesus. We are so grateful that you’ve said yes to the call. Obedience is truly your reward! We stand with you, pray for you, and believe in all that God is building!🏠 by @theabodechurch

One of our favorite moments each time we gather is the linger. After the food is eaten, the message is given, and worship comes to an end, there is something holy about lingering in fellowship with God’s people. It’s in these moments that relationships deepen, community grows, and we’re reminded that we were never meant to follow Jesus alone. At The Abode, we believe fellowship is more than what happens before or after a service. It is what leads to that “this is family” feeling. We gather to worship Him, grow in His Word, and remain long enough to love one another well. May we never be in such a hurry to leave the gathering that we miss what God wants to do in the lingering. “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20 by @theabodechurch

Obedience is our response to a Love that gives and serves so willingly. Jesus is our example: obedient even unto death. We don’t obey to get something from God. We obey because His ways are good and He has already given us everything. The Abode didn’t start out of a wound, out of spite, or even out of a dream or a good idea. It started as an act of obedience. When God said “go,” we went. When God said “build,” we built. Now we’re inviting others on the journey. We desire to raise radically obedient disciples of Jesus who rejoice in following His ways. Where might the Lord be asking you to obey? What could one “yes” to God produce in your life? “I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.” Psalm 119:14 NIV 📖 by @theabodechurch

Our crew is home 🏡🤎 Over the past 12 months, 20 people have made their way to Orlando (most from Los Angeles, one from Illinois), to build The Abode Church. We weren’t promised anything. No job, no success, no easy-life. We all moved by faith and with one common goal: To welcome every person home into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. Now we’re home. Are you home yet? 🤎 by @theabodechurch
The Word of God is alive. Not just words on a page. Not only truth we believe. A Person who came down. The Savior we follow. Jesus didn’t simply speak the Word. He embodied it. The invisible God became visible, and we got to see what the Word looks like as He walked among us. Now, as disciples, we’re invited to do the same. As we follow Jesus, we become more like Him. His Word shapes how we love, how we forgive, how we show up. What we read takes root in us. What we believe begins to shape us. And what God has spoken begins to flow out of us into every part of our lives. This is who we are at The Abode: not just people who know the Word, but people who live it. We are not just hearers of truth, but disciples who embody it everyday. May the Word dwell here and may we become true imitators of it. 📖 by @theabodechurch
