Do you want the hard with a reward, or do you want the hard with no reward?

Do you want to live a life that's hard intentionally with some sort of reward, or do you want to live a life that's hard by default with no reward.

There are no other fucking choices.

There will only ever be 2 choices and you've already decided based on what you do every day.

The standard you set for yourself today will determine the life that you live tomorrow

And the standard you commit to holding will cultivate the life you've dreamed of forever

But just because you've made that decision doesn't mean you still can't change that decision.

Are you willing to hold the line?

Are you willing to raise the bar?

Are you willing to throw yourself into the deep end and force yourself to swim?

You need to force yourself to grow.

You need to force yourself to change.

Because if you don't lean into that discomfort that you CONSTANTLY avoid and face what it ACTUALLY takes to get to where you know you're capable of going you'll always be a dreamer.

And only be a dreamer.

Go Beyond 🏴

We got a lot longer way to go, but I couldn’t be more excited to struggle.

Instead of struggling to go the day without pain meds, walk more than 15 feet without excruciating pain, use the restroom without my entire lower body going numb after 2 mins, put my shoes on without assistance, or something as simple as changing shirts…

I’ll now have the opportunity and blessing to struggle as I continue my climb in business and athletics. This was never supposed to be an easy path, but that’s why it’s worth while.

Before this accident I was really f*cked up.

I stopped training, stopped trying, stopped loving myself, stopped appreciating the good struggles in life, and started doubting every decision I made. I was in a downward spiral looking for an excuse to abandon my life, and I started to hate myself because of what I saw when I looked in the mirror.

I saw a f*cking coward scared to face his own demons.

A young man contemplating give up on everything because he was tired. So tired of fighting.

Someone i was not familiar with.

I lost sight of the fact that I absolutely love my life.

And I could no longer see the champion that lives in me.

This gift of life is one that we all take for granted far too often.

Please cherish this gift.

And hold it tight.

So tight.

Winning Cost Everything.

No One’s Coming To Save You.

Grow.

Or F*cking Die.

We don’t really understand these lessons until life gets hard.
When the stakes are real, and the consequences unavoidable.

This is why we train.
This is why we practice.

So when life hits, we don’t flinch..

We fall back on our training, and make our shots count.

And it came to pass.

Good, bad, beautiful, or ugly

every moment passes.

But the moments we share with the ones we love are the ones that stay with us, even when we leave this world behind.

This year, I want to encourage you to Go Beyond the limits you’ve placed on yourself.

Go beyond your fear of the unknown.

Go beyond your doubt in your own strength.

But never forget why you chose to go the extra mile in the first place.

Most importantly, share moments that create a life beyond measure with the ones who walk beside you along the way.

Never Struggle Again.
