Microwave tip, love: half a lemon in a bowl of water, a few minutes on full, and all that muck wipes straight off. No scrubbing, no nasty sprays. 🍋

What's your favourite cleaning trick?

Little pleasures, love. Buy the flowers. Open the good wine. And always buy two cucumbers.

One is for the salad. 🥒 Do keep up.

What's your little pleasure this week?

Being a good grandparent is simple: join in. Baking, dens, puddles, the lot.

And if the parents say one biscuit… well. A broken second biscuit hardly counts. 🍪

Grandparents, what's your loophole? Parents, you didn't see this.

My rule for a sale: would you want it at full price? If not, you haven't saved £40, love. You've spent £60.

…Advice I shall be following from tomorrow. 🛍️

What's the worst “bargain” you've ever bought?

Look at this lot. 🍅 The first year I tried, I grew one tomato. One.

My husband did the sums and reckoned it cost forty quid. He wasn't wrong, but it was a very good tomato.

What's the most expensive thing you've ever grown?

If someone you love pops into your head, ring them. Message them. Don't wait for a reason, love. That is the reason. 💌

Although if you ring me during Bake Off, it had better be an emergency.

Who just came to mind? Go on, send it.

My secret to a happy life? Find a kind man. Make a bloody good brownie. And marry someone who'll help put up three Christmas trees… even if he thinks one is sufficient. 🎄

He's wrong, by the way.

What's your secret? One line, go.

Use the good china, love. Light the nice candle. Wear the coat you're “saving”.

Whatever you're keeping for best… this is it. The Royal Family aren't popping round. ☕

What are you saving for best? Get it out this weekend.

Tidying tip, love: one basket, every dog toy in it. Done in ten seconds.

Lasts about two. I said tidy, not dog-free. 🐾

Whose dog would have that toy back out first? Tag them.

Brownie tip from me to you: if the recipe says proper butter, use proper butter. Not the spread. Not the “lighter” one.

If I'm having cake, I'm having cake. 🧈

Butter or spread in your house? Choose your answer carefully.

Hello, love. I'm Maggie. I'm 75, I live in the Cotswolds, and I tried slowing down. Terribly boring.

So my granddaughter's put me on the internet. I've no idea what I'm doing… but looking around, neither does anyone else.

What shall I tell you about first: baking, tidying or husbands? 👇
