Many people believe the moment they form an LLC, they’ve become a CEO.

In reality, most have simply created a job for themselves.
As Robert Kiyosaki explained in the Rich Dad Poor Dad Cashflow Quadrant, employees and self-employed professionals exchange time for income.

True owners build systems and teams that produce value beyond their direct labor.

This is where many founders burn out.

They leave employment seeking freedom…
but unknowingly recreate employment inside their own company.

Ownership isn’t about quitting your job.

It’s about building the structure that allows a company to operate beyond you.

If you’re preparing to leave, already self-employed, or ready to scale — the question isn’t 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙥.

Most professionals believe entrepreneurship begins with resignation.

It doesn’t.

It begins with identity.

Every year, high-performing employees walk away from stability believing skill will carry them.

But skill without identity creates panic.
Ambition without posture creates chaos.
Vision without internal authority creates hesitation.

Ownership is not about confidence.
It is about calibrated decision-making.

Before the paycheck disappears…
Before the structure disappears…
Before the title disappears…

Your identity must already be operating at founder level.

Attitude determines how you decide.
Posture determines how you hold those decisions.

If those two are still conditioned by employment,
entrepreneurship will feel destabilizing instead of expansive.

This is why identity is the first infrastructure.

What’s in it for you?

Hopefully, your career or business fulfills you and serves a true purpose intrinsically. What I want to know is—is it honoring your desired physical reality and experience?

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿?

Entering a career or building a business that doesn’t have the potential of financially serving your life and lifestyle—will probably leave you in more distress.

Reverse engineering your lifestyle allows you to create the neural pathway that will formulate the way forward.

Determining what your lifestyle will cost you monthly—will support you in accurately choosing the careers, type of business or product or services to offer. Inherently aligning you with the right clients and colleagues.

I’m not oblivious to the state of the world, the economic downshift or the hurdles we face as entrepreneurs. I just believe it’s easier to accomplish what you have outlined, itemized and planned to position for.

Then let your mind create all the ways you can make it a reality and build that reality from THERE.

Don’t let your limitations hi-jack the exercise, let yourself dream for once.

3 people asked me how. My answer was simple—breathe.

So let’s talk science and the brain…

You’re addicted to the cortisol, dopamine and oxytocin endorphin cocktail that your brain is producing in fight or flight.

You can be RICH and still be in survival mode. Ask me how I know…

My favorite transformation, my best friend 🥹

I met Jameca in a club bathroom in Houston, TX.

There was an ease between us.
A familiarity I couldn’t explain.

We started talking and almost instantly…it was like, 𝘰𝘩—𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦.

As we got to know each other, I saw her depth.
And she saw my gift.

What started as a conversation turned into her inviting me into her world—to support her in her identity, her decisions, and the way she saw herself.

Today?

She’s no longer a Marketing Consultant.

She’s the Founder & CEO of @suite101.ai —
building something that’s fully her and committed to supporting women in the beauty industry.

[I’m a little jealous because I would’ve loved for her to be the CMO of @theadvisingco 😂]

But she’s clear on her path and I LOVE & support her.

Take some time and really think about what it 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 means to become a #founder ...

Not just in title,
but in identity.

A Founder is someone who 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

And that kind of work asks something different of you.

It’s not just about what you create...
it’s about who you become in the process of creating it.

There’s a version of you who already knows how they lead, how they make decisions,
how they hold vision even when it’s not fully visible yet.

And stepping into that isn’t always about doing more.

But embodying that version of you 𝘯𝘰𝘸.

In your standards.
In your boundaries.
In how you move, even when no one is watching.

I’ve been thinking about imposter syndrome lately…
And I don’t always think it’s self-doubt.

Sometimes, it’s your identity still catching up to where you’re going.

When you’ve spent so much time being affirmed for what you do—how well you execute, how much you can carry—it’s natural for that to become how you see yourself.

So when things shift…
 when you’re asked to show up differently…
it can feel a little disorienting.

Not because you’re not capable, but because you haven’t fully met this version of you yet.

I think we build identity in the places where we feel most seen.
 And when it’s time to grow beyond them, everything can feel unfamiliar for a moment.

That’s the part we call imposter syndrome.

But maybe it’s not something to fix… maybe it’s something to gently grow into.

If you’re in that in-between space, you’re not alone 🫶🏾
