Before I decide how to cut or control the hair, I decide how the hair should live — and where it should fall.

Very dense, strong straight hair, heavy side volume, a naturally round visual character. The goal was not more curl. The goal was a less rounded read: a squarer silhouette, redistributed density, texture built with intention — perm used for flat texture, not curl pattern.

Every step here was a decision, including what I deliberately rejected and why. I‘ve organized the full sequence — observe, character, landing, technique, release, observe, adjust — into a visual guide built from two real salon cases.
