I’ve never been interested in shrinking my vision to fit someone else’s understanding of what’s possible. Their limitations are not my instructions. Their experiences are not my predictions. And their rules are not my reality. Some people follow the blueprint. Others become the reason it gets rewritten. I fully intend to be the latter. by @theakbrand

I’ve been a little quiet online for a few days, and honestly, I needed it. Sometimes you need enough silence to remember who you are without everybody else’s opinions, timelines, wins, advice, and expectations in your face. Identity matters. In life. In leadership. In business. In branding. Who are you when nobody is applauding? What do you believe before the internet tells you what’s popular? What do you want your name to mean when you’re not in the room? I’m learning that the stronger my identity becomes, the less interested I am in performing, comparing, explaining, or constantly reinventing myself. I just want my life, my work, my decisions, and my reputation to tell the same story. That’s also what makes a powerful personal brand.
