I am incredibly proud of my wife, Alex Ayodele, for being featured in Shoutout Miami for her work as the founder of Balcony People and as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

We are chosen to tackle challenging tasks. Leadership requires a willingness to make sacrifices.

How much are you willing to suffer for others?
We appreciate the title and desire the influence, but the true measure of leadership lies not in how many people serve you, but in how much you are willing to absorb for the benefit of others.

Consider these questions:
-Will you engage in tough conversations to provide clarity for your team?
- Will you take responsibility for mistakes so your team can concentrate on solutions?
- Will you relinquish comfort, credit, or convenience to enable someone else’s growth?
Sacrifice in leadership is not about being a martyr, it’s about choosing short-term discomfort for long-term impact on those you lead.

If you are called to lead, you are also called to bear burdens that often go unnoticed. Your ability to endure for others can define the extent of your leadership.

Reflect on this: Instead of asking, “What can I gain from my leadership role?” consider, “What am I willing to give up so my team can achieve more?”

This week... do hard better.
Some things in life don’t get easier.
The weight doesn’t always lift.
The pressure doesn’t always disappear.
I’ve prayed before, “God, just take this away.”
But I was reminded: the goal isn’t to escape hard things.
The goal is to grow the capacity to walk through them better.
Anyone can complain about what’s difficult.
Be the one who steps up with intention.
The one who refines their mindset, leans into the challenge, and lets the pressure expand their wings instead of clipping them.

This week:
• When it feels heavy, breathe and stay in it
• When it feels scary, take the next right step
• When it feels unfair, choose to grow anyway

Hard might still be hard.
But you?
You can do hard better.

Read that again.

• The arguments you always avoid
