Helping you cut household bills 💷
Building extra income to buy back my time

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Three kids, businesses to run, household bills to pay and a never-ending to-do list.

I spend a lot of my time helping people save money on their household bills, and I try to practise what I preach.

But then Ipswich Town go and release a black and gold kit... 💙⚽😂

Do I need another football shirt? Absolutely not.

Am I seriously considering buying it anyway? Obviously.

Because saving money isn’t about never treating yourself. Sometimes it’s about having a little left over for the things that make you happy, however unnecessary they might be.

If you’re also trying to be a responsible grown-up without entirely growing up, I think you’ll like it here. 😉 taken in Ipswich Town Football Club by @thealexcameron

I’m looking to partner with local clubs, charities, organisations and businesses to help them raise funds by helping their community to save money.

Oh, and it’s free!

Think if you’re a local charity asking for donations from people who are already struggling with the cost of living. Why not offer them something in return?

“We can help you save money on your bills at home! Have a chat with our local partner Alex, he’ll show you how you can save money on the bills you’re already paying and if he can help you then you’ll be supporting us with a donation of up to £150 without having to pay us anything.”

Isn’t that a much better way to get your community supporting you?

Please get in touch if you have an audience of supporters that you’d like to help or if you just want to raise vital funds for your organisation. 🙏🏻

Some of these feel slightly uncomfortable to admit. Others are probably a lost cause. Particularly the hairline. 😂

I’ve spent years building my own business, and I genuinely enjoy what I do.

But I’m increasingly realising that I don’t necessarily want a bigger business or a busier diary.

I want more choice.

Choice over the work I take on, how I spend my time, and what I can afford to do with my family.

I’m still working towards these things. Some are a lot further away than others!

As a busy dad of three trying to build my own video business, the unpredictable income from self-employment was a challenge. But taking on another job would have meant sacrificing even more time with my family.

I needed something flexible. Here’s what I did:

1. Became a Utility Warehouse Partner and got started.
2. Made a list of people I knew. Friends, family, old colleagues, phone contacts and social media connections.
3. Started reaching out, offering free household bill reviews.
4. Aimed to help at least two new qualifying customers every month.
5. Fitted conversations and appointments around work and family life.
6. As I helped more people, referrals started coming naturally from happy customers.

Four years on, I’ve averaged over £500 a month in additional income from a part-time investment of my time.

I’ve also built residual income that can continue even without new appointments, provided qualifying customers and services remain in place.

It’s taken effort, but it’s given me more options.

What difference would an extra £500–£600 a month make to you?

Curious how it works? Drop me a DM. Happy to explain! taken in Bury St. Edmunds by @thealexcameron

Absolutely delighted to have reached this milestone. 🏆

That’s so many bill payers, home owners, tenants, families, young people, pensioners, friends and family saving money and so thrilled that we’ve been able to help them @ejcameron! 😊

To all the lovely people that have trusted us with your bills and given us your time - THANK YOU! 🙏🏻

There’s more we can do though! There are many more people out there who are about to really feel the pinch this winter so please DON’T KEEP US A SECRET! It’s a free review and you’ll see how much you can save. It may or may not work, but for many people it really does and this recognition is proof. Remember as a customer you get a £50 credit when you refer a friend and they get £50 off their bill too. Plus they’ll get up to £250 as a welcome bonus when they switch.

Who would you like to give that gift to? 👍🏻 taken in United Kingdom by @thealexcameron

Looking for 3 amazing people who’d like to earn an extra £5000 (yes, seriously!) between now and Christmas; in their spare time around their current job.

No experience necessary. Just a willingness to learn, be coachable to follow a proven system and hungry to set simple goals and work hard to achieve them.

This is not for everyone but can be for anyone. If you are interested at all, drop me a quick message and I’ll share a video with you that has more information. by @thealexcameron

They genuinely didn’t think there would be much for me to find.

But they gave me a little bit of their time anyway, and we looked at their household bills together and how Utility Warehouse could work for them.

It ended up saving them more than £1,000 a year.

And that’s really the point.

You don’t need to be convinced you’re overpaying. You don’t even need to be looking to switch.

Why not spend a few moments checking?

At worst, you’ll understand what you’re currently paying and learn about another option.

At best? It might turn out to be a much bigger conversation than you expected.

If you’d like me to take a look at yours, drop me a message. taken in Bury St. Edmunds by @thealexcameron

Loving my new custom laptop cover by the very clever @joshuahogden of 3DGuru 😉

I spend plenty of time with my laptop open in public places, like coffee shops, and when Josh mentioned this was prime real estate and was I happy promoting Apple for free, it made total sense.

Josh offer this on cases or even direct to laptops (like a tattoo for your device) as well as mobile phones, iPads, name badges, vapes and even a spirit level for a local sparky - @connor_jb 😘

What do you think? Drop me a DM if you’d like one and I’ll put you in touch with Josh. taken in Bury St. Edmunds by @thealexcameron

Because sometimes earning more isn’t really the problem. Read on 👇🏻

It’s that every obvious way of doing it seems to want more of your time in return.

Another shift. More overtime. Another evening at the laptop.

I’m not looking for something that requires no work. I just don’t want earning more to always mean giving more of my life over to work.

That’s what I’m trying to change.

If you’ve been looking for a way to earn more without just adding more hours, drop me a message. taken in Bury St. Edmunds by @thealexcameron

Everything’s so expensive right now.

Energy’s gone up. Food’s gone up. Broadband’s gone up. Mobiles, insurance… pretty much everything.

Me: “I can have a look at your household bills for free and see if I can save you anything?”

Them: “Oh… no, we’re fine actually.”

😂

It always makes me laugh.

We’ll happily complain about how expensive everything’s getting, but when someone offers to actually sit down, do the legwork and see if there’s money to be saved…

Suddenly we’re FINE.

And genuinely, you might be. I’m not going to pretend I can save everyone money.

But it costs nothing to find out.

Give me 30 minutes, I’ll go through the boring stuff with you in one go, and we’ll see whether there’s anything worth changing.

Worst case? You discover you’re already on a decent deal.

Best case? You stop paying more than you need to.

Either way, you can still complain about the price of everything afterwards. That’s a British tradition. 🇬🇧😂
