August…where do I even begin? How do I do this month’s memories justice? How do I accurately encompass all the beauty, love and joy that was experienced this month?

‘Best I can do (besides indulging in my writing) is to share some small snippets from the month that has passed.

I am eternally grateful for this past August, and for the life that has been experienced before and the vast, wonderful life yet to be enjoyed.

On the 8th of August 2026, Avi and I spoke our vows to one another before our closest friends and family.

A week earlier, on the 1st of August, we chose to privately marry, legally bound on my parents’ property, just the two of us, so that we could belong to each other first, before the world laid claim to the day. But it was on the 8th, surrounded by everyone we love, that it truly felt real.

We have never felt so entirely fused as we did on that day. From the walk down the aisle to the vows themselves, to every moment that followed, Avi and I existed in our own bubble, tuned to our own frequency. As we always have been, and as we always will be.

As two people who carry more than our share of anxiety, it was nothing short of remarkable that we experienced the entire day, and the months leading up to it, feeling so steady and so held by one another. Us, our love, has always been a certainty in a world of uncertainties.

I am endlessly grateful that I got to marry my twin flame, and that I get to spend the rest of my life beside him.

Avi, you are a daydream that became lucid, then real.

I love you, my husband.

Four years ago I got locked out of my apartment in the middle of the night. Nowhere to go, nothing on my person except a loaf of banana bread (yes, I know), the clothes on my back and a dying iPhone.

Avi, being a complete angel (and also within a 6 minute drive), told me to come over immediately, stay the night and use whatever I needed in his apartment to feel cosy, clean and comfortable.

Who would have thought that McDonald’s nuggets, homemade cortados, a passionate 2 hour conversation about philosophy and socioeconomics (are we even surprised?) and Avi grabbing my face to kiss me (no complaints from my side) would result in the most cosmic, earth-shattering love story.

Honestly? It’s been like that since the day we met. Two magnets, constantly feeling the undeniable pull towards each other. Never wanting to be apart – feeling the tension when we’re not.

What a privilege it is to spend the rest of my life loving – and being loved by – the most devoted man I’ve ever known. A year into our engagement, and here we are, quite literally counting down the days until we’re husband and wife.

My Avi, you are the force that balances me. Your energy both stirs me and soothes me. Thank you for turning my life into one that is so vibrant and electric.

It’s hot, I’m bothered, time is simultaneously moving too fast and too slow.

Sitting on the floor in silence while indulging in literature seems to be the only thing giving me some form of relief - well, that and a long nap.

I’m jealous of the birds flying from one tree to the next.
Their life seems so simple and free. The closest I get to that is a walk in the park where I can momentarily lose track of time while my heartbeat reminds me of my beautifully flawed human nature and the gravity of being a sensitive person in a claustrophobic world.

So many erratic thoughts.
